So has anyone jumped on the HD Dvd bandwagon yet? I personally am waiting till the dust settles before I do. A friend of mine bought a HD player last month and he is pretty pleased with it. And after seeing the new Blu-Ray player in action I'm wondering if indeed it will go the way of beta. It's early in the game but the overall quality of blu-ray seems lacking compared to HD Dvd.
Seen them both and was very impressed with the PQ. I will wait until I see who takes the lead in the marketplace and when the price comes down and the machines gets faster and the HDMI problems work out. This is a fucking mess having two incompatible HD technology on the market at the same time.
Can wait to watch my first porn movie in HD. I wat to see all the details Flower Tucci and Mia Bangg asshole.
I'm usually on the "bleeding" edge of this type of thing. But I'm waiting for the dust to settle before making a decision. Right now, I'm hearing both good and bad things about both formats.
Luckily for me there are no titles that have been released on either formats that are "must have's" in HD. If there were, I might be tempted to buy. But for now, I'll stick with my upconverting DVD player.

I wish I could say the same thing! God there are probably 50 or so movies I would re-buy to have them in 1080p! However that would mean I would need to upgrade my entire home theater system! For which I am not prepared to do anytime soon. I just hope in the next year or so the bugs get worked out.
Fifty out of the hundred, or so, that are currently available or a total of fifty that you would by when they become avaiable?
Out of the titles that are currently avaialble, I would probably buy 10 or 15 of them again. But I'm not wetting my pants over any of them yet.
Now, if my HDTV's were both 1080p capable, it might be a different story. But when I upgrade, I'm going to make sure that, unlike most of the TV's currently being touted as 1080p, anything that I buy will be able to accept a 1080p signal, not just be able to line double a 1080i signal.

lol, yeah I love the "false" advertising that is going around about 1080p tv's and such. Out of the dvd's out right now on HD I would like to get a couple but no in their current form. The reason is, is because the format's too new and we all know once a format is decided that is when the good stuff will come and hopefully the TV's/Recievers will be up to speed with the discs/technology. I hate waiting but until I know that what I buy will stick, it's just not worth it. But yeah there are probably 50 or more titles in my current library of films that I'd like to get on HD.

As long as any format will stil play the DVD's I already have I'll be sitting in butter.
