I once read a thread that said the adult industry is going HD.. now that HD is a dead format and Blu Ray has won. Has any news been leaked out by the studios if they are going to go blu?

From what I have heard from the adult studios is that they will let the HD-DVD discs they have already printed sell out and they will not press replacements in that format. So the HD-DVDs that are on the market already will still be sold but moving forward those studios doing hi-def porn will be doing it with Blu-ray.

Vlad - you're confusing HD with HD DVD. HD DVD was just one of the two home formats capable of true high definition video. Now that HD DVD is dead, expect to see a lot more Blu-ray releases from the adult industry.

Gunman, I understand the two formats, but I heard that the adult industry was against paying sony a fee to print Blu Ray discs, so they were behind (so to speak) HD.
I know that HD is dead, but has anyone heard from the studios saying they are going Blu? Or are we to assume they wont have a choice; which they dont.
I also understand that Blu doesnt like Region Free discs. That has been a usual encoding feature on Adult dvd's. Are they going to start region coding or are they hoping Oppo makes a region free player?
I didnt see a thread discussing HD/Blu and HD players.. so I am bringing it up.

Adult companies go where there is money being made so you can expect them to release movies on Blu-ray in the future. Some of them already do. All of them eventually will, well most of them I think.
There is no fee for making blu-ray discs, it is just a bit more expensive than making HD DVD discs.
Companies have the option to region code their discs on Blu-ray but I doubt that any adult studio will do that because it would hamper their sales. After all porn dvds aren't region coded as well.
