The main issues in shipping to the UK are shipping rates, taxes/duties, and customs seizures. I think the typical overseas rates (for companies that even offer sales outside the US/Canada) run between US$20-30. Then there's the import duties that you're responsible for. Finally, I hear that British customs is notorious for seizing objectionable material.
I'd tend to think that someone could make a fortune by setting up shop in Europe and not charging the outrageous rates that most video distributors charge there. But I'm probably being too simplistic or else someone would have done it already.
