If that's defined by vids like "The Couples' Guide to Sexual Positions," well, that's not what I want at all! I want to see stuff that turns both of us on, presented in a way that turns us both on. Help me find a vid with this: 1) Pro-performer attitude. Whether the talent is 18 or 25 or 35 doesn't matter. That they don't feel like fresh meat or meat puppets does. Based on what I've read, Evil Angel and Vivid exemplify this, but there may be others. 2) Plot--need not be overdone, just enough to provide some setup and continuity. 3) Lots of b/g action, especially cunnilingus (shaved a plus) and DPs, DPs plus oral, maybe DPPs. Anal, facials, girl-girl OK as long as they aren't the main point. 4) Mostly natural boobs; smallish ones could even be a plus, but the idea is mainly to avoid oversize and obvious chest augmentation. Guys with abs and biggish cocks would be nice, but more important is that the cock be normally shaped and that the guy be able to see it over his belly. 5) Condoms can be OK but should be relatively inconspicuous (i.e. transparent, thin, no party colors). Would like to avoid this. 6) BDSM should be mild if at all...while "Behind the Green Door" was a turn-on, "The Story of O" had the opposite effect, with my avoiding the genre since then. 7) Minimum circus/act stuff (DAPs, peeing, cocktails, A2M, etc.) Yeah, it doesn't do much for me, but it makes my DH go limp, which is assuredly not how the evening should end... Finding nothin' on the list, I scoped out the overall selection. A six-foot case devoted only to the "Dirty Debutantes" series. Another dubbed "Amateur," which included Buttwoman Iz Bella, one miscellaneous Max Hardcore and the Fashionitas (only for rent, and it was out, again). Another couple of displays of mostly Wicked/VCA. One rack of girl/girl, one of boy/boy and the remainder of wall space dedicated to "Playboy Bunny No. ___" and "classic" X (didn't include Devil in Miss Jones, Amanda by Night, Misty Beethoven, among others.) A couple of dudes stopped in and...stopped. Not that I look like Ron Jeremy. Or Jenna Jameson, for that matter, but I think it just freaked them to see a chick looking at porn. By this time, I was a little impatient to find *something*, given it was the day before, plus, I also felt...a little awkward. Yeah, I KNOW it's said dudes' problem and not mine. But still, the last thing I felt like doing at that point was going to an all-X store and getting weirded out from a whole roomful of guys, or going to Good Vibrations only to find more "Couples Guide to Sex Positions" type stuff. Anyway, by that point, I'd narrowed the selection down to two vids, the Missing Sex Project 2 and LA Unforgiven. I chose the latter, mostly b/c I'd just read Julie Meadows' interview in the ADT archives. I give 'em a lot of credit for tryin' with the plot, but it was a little convoluted. No DPs but excellent cunnilingus; too many airbag boobs and the girls didn't even look aroused in most of the scenes. But what I've increasingly observed is a kind of gender separation in porn retailers. On the one hand are X-places like Good Vibrations. Most clerks and customers alike have a cunt, but fairly few are one. Still, the whole "womyn-empowered" emphasis could come off less than friendly to dudes. Sex toy descriptions talk about "clitoral and labial stimulation." Vid prices tend toward the high side. Mostly, they depict condom-only simple penetration. Some anal, but never DPs or anything beyond. You see a lot of the Candida Royalle/Nina Hartley genre, plus the "Couples' Guide to Sexual Positions" variety. It's OK but not the best value for everyone, especially at $40-$50 per vid. OTOH are X-places like...everywhere else, where you can probably find more of what you want cheaper if you really wanna go into a stark, fluorescent box for box-covers lined to the ceiling. Titles like "Fuck Pigs 5!" "Assault That Ass!" or "Young, Dumb and Full of Cum!" predominate, promising to "make this bitch whore take it all, all the time...see her filthy fuckholes ripped open wider!" Knowing what just happened to Amee--and it's not that rare-- this dialogue is not a turn-on. And while respecting different strokes for different folks, it's difficult if you're a chick not to take it at least a little personally and get the fuck outta there. The X-secs of mom-and-pop video stores seem to be the only middle ground. But being that they're about the size of an elevator car and shrinking, everyone's a little nervous in there anyway. But I only use them for rentals because as you say the prices are high for purchase. However, they have a pretty full line including a lot of the harder stuff. Just about everything except Max Hardcore which they don't carry. Also, I've stood in line behind some girls that were talking about 'clitoral stimulation' and how well did the one they were holding the box for did the job was the discussion with the clerk. If mainstream shows like "PrimeTime Live" paid as much attention to accuracy and journalistic integrity as you did above, they might be worth listening to. This might regrettably seem more plausible than the idea of a nice, married female raincoater. I *am* real, though, and from what others have said here, not really that rare;-) The list was great (and I'm adding your observations).
