System Restore might help assuming you did something (i.e. installed drivers, software, etc) at the time when Start Menu was functioning properly.

| stinkfist Senior Member  Subterfuge...... 7401 Posts 4/07 |  Posted - Nov 6 2008 : 9:20PMCan someone help me please,i have AVG free edition and Ad-Aware free edition that i use to try and keep any viruses at bay.Well today i am getting this problem.When i click on the "Start" bottom left it looks like this(pic below) it is all black on the side and when i move over it only then does My Document Folder,Control Panel etc become visible..Should i just do a system restore would that solve the problem...any help would be great thanks.
