Well I'm new to the fourm, and I was think about why Vivid doesn't sign any black female pornstar. I remeber Heather Hunter n all, but why black girl in porn doesn't get the same respect as the white do. I just wanted to ask.
I think Vivid mostly signs based on who can get the most hype and has potential for sustained popularity. I remember in the early '90s Nikki Dial bounced between VCA and Vivid . Janine and Julia Ann, Jenna Jameson, Kobe Thai. They also seem to prefer the thin, model-y look. Implants added later.
Some of the black girls have undoubtedly heard the reports about Vivid not allowing black male/white female (IR) scenes in their high end 35mm films slated for cable.
Perhaps they regard such a company as racist or surrendering to racism, and would feel uncomfortable in such an atmosphere, let alone want to help Vivid make money.
I never heard that about Vivid. If that is true thats bullshit. It is the year 2005 and to hear something like that just makes me furious. What problem do they have with the black man being in there made for cable movies.

Vivid is all about making money. They don't give a rat's ass about any social agendas. If, in their perception, or marketing surveys, they feel that bm/wf porn will turn away a significant amount of consumers without adding an equal amount, they're going to refrain from making those kinds of videos. I don't know if they actually don't produce bm interracial because Vivid isn't even on my radar for other reasons, but we'd be kidding ourselves if we don't think that racism exists and has an affect on business decisions.

I'm a big fan of IR scene from bm/wf. Vivids is just a overated company that doesn't care about black people. Maybe they should take note from Evil Empire, which btw is better then Vivid shit. There movies are more nastyer then Vivid movie style porn that you watch on Cimax.

Nice of you to take it out of context so it sounds simplistic and redundant. Some companies see interracial as their niche and economic base. I wouldn't count Vivid among them.
It just sad that Vivid won't sign a black female. Well somebody told me that black girls don't like long in porn, only two years then they quit because they alway get to work in low buget company not the big one.
Girls quit the business for many different reasons.Most of the girls aren't trying to make a career out of porn. They just use it to make quick money.They don't get hired by the bigger companies probably because there not professional or don't do a good scene.Most of the time some of the girls just lay there and think about that pay check.

Well the whites in the business stay longer then the blacks do. A firend of mine watch a black porn movie, and he didn't like it because the girls in it were done right. Maybe porn is not a good carrer move for black girl.

Hey I respect your opition in all. I don't like raciam at all and my mother alway said to be nice to all people no matter that color they are nad respect. Well on this month issue of AVN, they talked about blacks in porn, It hard to be a black pornstar theses days because the big compnay like Wicked or Vivids won't take them. Look at Hollywood and sports, there are alot of famous black people that many cheer or love for.
You already mentioned that you wouldn't buy their stuff anyway because its too soft for your taste. So why should the Wicked or Vivid officials listen to you?

Maybe I'm completely off base about this but I don't see Vivid, Wicked and DP as major providers of work in porn. They're high profile, so the women that work for them are better known, but I don't think they have as many productions a year as the gonzo/wall to wall studios. Whatever the feature companies aren't providing in opportunity is easily made up by Afrocentric, West Coast Prod., et al. I can't even take the feature companies to task for their decisions. They're going to do what they think services their markets the best. They have no mandate to push social issues. In fact, it's silly to expect porn to spearhead social harmony. It's much better at exploiting stereotypes, which it does often and with zeal.

Well I just don't like how black pornstar are been treated unfair in the business like they are low budget niggers. There is still raciam in the adult industley today and you don't see alot of black pornstar at the AVN awards, some female black pornstar will stay in it for two year and quit.
But its all about the money. Go to your local store and buy the whole Heather Hunter backcatalogue. Then tell your friends to do the same. Probably Vivid will sign Marie Luv.
BTW, a guy like Lexington Steele makes a damn good living on catering to all those racist sterotypes in the minds of the audiences. This behaviour doesn't show much loyalty to the black community. But I can't blame him. He has to make a living, just like the folks over at Vivid.

I don't think this is a fair statement concerning Lex. He's been criticized in the past for not using enough women who are tiny and white. That was part of the reason he parted ways with RLD. Women of color are very prominent in Lex's vids and Vanessa Blue is one of Mercenary's directors. Lex, Sean Michaels and Slayer have all been very good at getting black women in front of their cameras. They're just not exclusive to them. I can't say the same thing about a lot of white directors.

Maybe the adult industly should just take notes from mainsterim Hollywood, look at Halley Berry who is one of the most famous african american actress in Hollywood. Maybe Vivid should look for the Halley Berry of porn, beside most black female pornstar don't get to thrilled about doing porn and that is why female black pornstar won't last that long.
Not a very good model to follow I think, Halle was the first black woman to win the Oscar for best actress, meaning that the ratio black/white in Oscar winners is way lower than the ratio black/white in porn actresses.
Just wondering, how do you know they're not thrilled about doing porn?

Well is just the the white are more open them the black femlae pornstar, it must be hard to be a black pornstar these days. It can be easy to be a NBA or NFL player because 99% of the NFL and NBA roster have african american. Black guys in porn do stay long then the female do.
