I saw last night that [url=466954]Hidden Obsessions has been released! Yeah! For those of you that haven't seen it, it's Andrew Blake's best work (IMHO). The ice dildo scene is awesome. I haven't seen the DVD release of it yet, but hoping all scenes are intact. This is the movie that made Janine famous. I think it was her first movie. It was the first time that I had seen her and the cover says "Introducing Janine Linemaulder" (however you spell her last name).
Anyone find this title online for less than $22? I had a coupon for DVDExplorer that appears to have expired so they put my order on hold (without letting me know). I called in and they won't honor the coupon, so my order isn't the deal that I thought it was.
Nope. I'm suprised it hasn't dropped in price. I just checked the Price Search and $22.95 was the lowest. Not that it isn't worth $22, but I'm cheap... I hate spending more than $15-$18 on a movie.
I am my handle, so I'm with ya! Oh well, I talked the CSR there into giving me a decent deal and while it ain't under $20 I'm an ImpatientBastid too, so I went for it.
I wouldn't agree that it is his best work, but I would agree it is his hottest and sexiest.
In addition to the famous ice-dildo scene already mentioned, I loved the slow-motion scene with Celeste and the waterdrops! Beautful cinematography, beautiful woman, beautiful scene.
[I still think NIGHT TRIPS is Blake's best. Followed closely in second by LES FEMMES EROTIQUE.]

Seeing that it's a Studio A release (yeah!!!!), and Studio A releases have extremely high wholesale cost, I doubt that you'll ever see this title under $20, unless it's a loss leader.
I really liked Night Trips. However, Les Femmes Erotique didn't really impress me that much. It was a little too "pretty" for me. There were a couple of "pretty" scenes in Hidden Obsessions (like the shaving scene with Randy West), but the other scenes made up for it.
Even if it's not a must-have, it's at the very least, a "must-see!"
Blake has given the viewer an excellent transfer of the movie, which beats the VHS edition by far and surpasses the laserdisc (both of which I have). The Studio A boxcover is slightly different from the original, but the contents remain the same.
Just jumping in here to add my two cents worth. All of Blake's stuff is good, but I notice no one here mentioning anything about "Secrets," which is another of my Blake favorites! Great work by Ashlyn Gere! And the Zara Whites/Rocco "Telescope" scene (watching Randy West and a group of stunning blondes)!
Actually, SECRETS and NIGHT TRIPS 2 are my favorite Blake films of all time. Zara looked stunning in it (she was the girl with the telescope and later with Ashlyn Gere in a girl-girl scene), and the Julia Parton/Kristina King/Blonde-Woman-Whose-Name-Escapes-Me-At-The-Present-Time threesome was simply terrific.
I suppose what helped make the movie for me was that I owned the laserdisc which had the Blake commentary track. It was great! For instance, there is a scene where Sunset Thomas is seducing P.J. Sparxx at poolside. Blake points out how P.J. thinks she has a fat butt, and even the moreso when compared side-by-side with Sunset's. So he had great difficulty getting P.J. to walk away from the camera. She wanted to back away, even up the stairs!
Another scene I adore is the black and white scene of Christine Tyler naked on the beach. This is Nikki Tyler before porn ruined her. She still has a healthy, attractive natural layer of babyfat, and perfect natural boobs. She was without the doubt, one of the most stunning women I had ever seen! Then porn ruined her, making her slim down and purchase the bolt-on boobs. Exactly the same thing that happened to Bo Saint.
RE: Zara Whites and SECRETS
SECRETS, along with the other first four films by Blake done for Caballero, are now regularly found in the Classics section of video stores. And rightly so. SECRETS is a great, great flick. And Zara Whites is, in my opinion, a once-in-a-lifetime porn beauty.
Curse you Caballero for not giving us decent DVDs of these great films!

In the first line, I have to say that Hidden Obssession has been one of the most top-quality and perfect movies that I've ever seen. Definitely, This movie has sent our evergreen janine in to a magnificent stardom through and through!. It makes me impressed very much, Dildo scene in particular . Regretfully, I have never seen it on DVD at all but exclusively on VHS and CD. By the way, Is that spelled " janine Lindemulder " or it is all about inadvertent misspelling?
BZZZZZT! Sorry, Blake_Fan! But you are incorrect. It is indeed, Mr. Siffredi who sodomizes Zara during the telescope scene. I have committed that segment to memory from hundreds of viewings (sad, but true)...
Blake_Fan: Diesel and I are correct about Rocco and Zara; however, I'll still give you half a point --Peter North appears earlier in "Secrets" as (I believe) a military type visited by one of Ashlyn's girls. Speaking of Zara, cannot forget "House of Dreams"--yuummmmm! Also, almost forgot to mention that the lovely and fondle-ly remembered Ashley Lauren is one of the girls with Randy West -- another true beauty!
I haven't seen this one yet so I will try to rent it sometime to see what the fuss is all about. I do like Janine, wish she would have done guys but that is ok. I did like her in the movie Blonde Justice 3 I believe the number was. She did a very nice scene in it with April who I really enjoyed watching and miss a lot.
You were correct Janine's name is spelled "Janine Lindemulder". She dropped the last name for the obvious reasons in the adult biz ie the copy right people can't spell "Cassidey" right half the time can you imagine what they would do with "Lindemulder". Not really sure which Blake movie I like the best probably a toss up between Obsessions and Secrets. Though I will say his more recent work has been getting a little too "artsy" for me.
