The market needs two things: a) Better movies b) Released in HD (Blu Ray being my personal preference). I used to buy a lot of stuff before (still have ~100 adult dvd's). When I collected movies I was after consistent quality, killer visuals and good action. Stuff that was on the cutting edge both cinematographically and technically. Now with the HD content the bar has been raised to an entirely new degree.
The fact is people can get their fix free nowadays. That said I firmly believe there is money to be made in publishing and distributing porn. The producers just need to match the right product with the right market.
