What are some gonzo titles where the porn is shot in ultra clarity and sound, lighting. Bottom line for me is that these things cum first. Also, I enjoy the girls eyes open and looking at me and also not screaming. I actually prefer more of the ohh, ahh roll the eyes type girls.
Sorry..off topic...mainly want to know who is consistantly producing ultra high clarity Porn today..shoot after shoot.
A lot of what I see is crap. Once you go HD, there is no turning back...

What I find annoying is the lack of quality hardcore anal releases on Blu-Ray. Jay Sin released 1 title on Blu-Ray and it's the highest quality footage I've ever seen! Then after that, he stopped. So annoying! Anabolic also started to release high quality anal releases on blu-ray then stopped. Ivan's A2M #12 on Blu-Ray is beautiful! Then they pulled the plug. If your going to take the plunge into releasing on a new format, you have to give it a chance before you pull the plug.

I'm a big fan of Gonzo and as its shot on video it looks like "video". The key is it being interlaced. Now, what I want to see is HD Gonzo but shot 1080i (interlaced) as that will still have that "in the scene" feel that you get with video. All the HD blurays I have seen so far are Progressive which gives everything a "film" look about it.
A Brandon Iron movie shot in 1080i would be porn heaven. I love his style and direction. Brandon, please shoot in HD 1080i.

I did one smart thing in the last few years: I bought a Sony Z5U video camera and it is the best piece of equipment I've ever owned. Yeah, man, I watch some great content presented in HD and it's what I enjoy as a consumer. Time to step it up.

Ivan, why not form your own company that is dedicated to shooting hardcore anal porn in HD with every release on Blu-Ray? I'd be a supporter for sure. Maybe you could pry Jay Sin away from EA. You guys could be bigger than JJ.

Simple economics. No one embraced Blu-Ray as a format. It is this generations Laser Disc. It's costly to produce, there is an onerous licensing fee from Sony and the public is speaking with their wallets, that is, almost complete silence. Everyone in porn shoots in HD. Very few are still releasing Blu-ray.

Thanks for answering Mike. It saddens me because quality porn in 1080p is a thing of beauty. I know it's costly but I think many like myself don't mind putting down the extra dough for something of that quality. I buy every quality hardcore anal release that comes out on BD. Unfortunately there just isn't enough releases. I know it hasen't cought on as well as DVD did but I don't think you can compare BD to laserdisc. Blu-ray beat out HD-DVD and is getting bigger in mainstream movies. I think the trend will definately follow in porn but I wish it would happen sooner than later.

Truthfully, I think HD will bypass physical media completely. Even though it's incredibly compressed, HD movies on Apple TV and many websites (including our 1080p downloads) look pretty spectacular and as bandwidth grows, they'll be less compressed with more efficient codecs and look even better.

The split between Blu-ray and dvd sales on the blockbuster Hollywood titles is currently about 40/60, which is very significant.
Though I do not see porn moving to Blu-ray in any significant way. But HD downloads definitely the direction to go!

Blu-ray beat HD-DVD because the mainstream studios preferred it due to its copy protection capabilities. It didn't win because of public support.
Personally, I think that the adult industry has only itself to blame for problems in the HD market. If the industry had embraced HD-DVD in the first place, rather than waiting for the mainstream companies to settle the situation themselves, the format with the lower licensing fees and manufacturing costs might have won the format war and HD porn on disc might have had a chance.
I realize that some companies put out HD-DVD's titles, but it was too little, too late.

Blu-ray Digital Playground All Star MILFs was just released 2 weeks ago on 03/23/2010. The lowest price for the Blu-ray and DVD version is about $22.00 and $17.00, respectively on adultdvdmarketplace. At these prices, I rather get the Blu-ray over the DVD version. How is it possible that a new release Blu-ray is price at $22.00 vs other blu-ray at $30-$35? I wish there were more studios who would release their stuff on blu-ray. Can't the studios author and burn the movie on to a cheap $2.00 Blu-ray disc without going through Sony or AAC copyright protection, allow blu-ray disc downloads and user burning their own blu-ray disc, or have blu-ray quality bitrate downloads at 20 Mbps? However, this might not work for me because I only rent or download and view once then delete or return.
Currently, Digital Playground is the only studio who is putting out more and more blu-rays each month; however, I do not like most of the Digital Playground's films because the directors use bad lighting, green tinted camera filter, deep color saturation camera filter, super bright white light camera filter, etc which makes it hard to see the models' details which is why I chose Blu-ray over DVD.
Currently, for those who want the best high definition porn at 12 Mbps video bitrate vs the average 20 (15-25)Mbps blu-ray, should take a look at Brazzers. ZTOD, Naughtyamerica, and 21sextury have the next best high definition at 8 Mbps video bitrate.

I, and I suppose many other consumers, were waiting for the format war to finish and prices to come down before buying a Blu-Ray player. Now that prices have come down and Blu-Ray has won the format war, I find that there are very few Blu-Ray porn DVDs being released. It looks like studios that I like released these DVDs for a few months a year or two ago, and then stopped before I even watched any of these Blu-Ray DVDs or bought a player. I would have bought Blu-Ray DVDs, assuming the quality was higher and the price was reasonable to me. If the jump in quality was similar to the jump between VHS and standard DVD, I suspect that I would have bought mostly Blu-Ray DVDs once I started.
Given Quasar's posts, I will most likely find a way to play high definition files on a computer, since this is where high definition porn seems to be headed.
PS: Since someone reading this thread probably can answer this and it is borderline on-topic (I hope), I am sneaking in a quick question:
The HD porn (720p or 1080p) being discussed here can not reasonably be played in either streaming or downloaded format on a laptop, even one with 4GB RAM correct?
You may torture me mercilessly if this is not on-topic enough, I don't want to be a thread derailer, but I want a quick yes/no.

HD porn both 720P and 1080P can be streamed very very well. I know because I do it, and it looks great (both southernbukkake.com and stripperfacials.com feature HD streamed video) you can even stream them to your HDTV via your playstation3 or your xbox360 of you can download them and play them on either platform
The RAM isnt the determining factor..its the video card if your laptop has an intel video card forget it...they SUCK and they wont even play most current games. If it has an Nvidia or Radeon chances are it will play them just fine because these cards have had hardware H.264 decoding built into them for a long time.
The new atom based laptops with a good video card will even play HD just fine, but the key is the video card not so much the processor or the memory

It's the power/speed of your CPU and graphics chip/card, and your internet connection speed which will determine that. There are some test websites which have video samples for the purpose of helping you answer that for your system...maybe someone can chime in with suggested sites.

You would want a good/fast internet connection to stream 720 or 1080P. I hate streaming anyway, rather download then watch whenever i want. Also cant see the point in HD if your only using a laptop to view them, i'd be using a laptop with HDMI out to a nice big plasma/LCD.

True but at small screen sizes it doesnt make a big differance IMO. When you start blowing the picture up on 50"+ screens is when you need HD. And it looks awesome on a big screen!

Mike - I don't know how much you know about Blu-ray, but it certainly is not this generation's laser disc. Every new movie is coming out on Blu-ray and they are releasing older films more & more on Blu-ray. Either the porn industry steps up and coverts more & more to Blu-ray or they are left in the dust.

I know quite a bit about Blu-ray and it took me 2 clicks to find this among about a hundred similar articles.
"BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The filmed entertainment industry, which has until recently enjoyed steady growth on the back of DVD sales, is now suffering a rapid decline in DVD sales while lackluster adoption of the new, high-definition Blu-Ray disc format has thus far not come close to offsetting lost DVD revenue.
According to a new report published by the Strategy Analytics Digital Media Strategies service, global DVD sales plunged 9% last year to $33 billion and will drop a further 12% in 2010. The report, “Global Audiovisual Market Forecast,” predicts that while global Blu-Ray sales will reach $6.5 billion this year that will not be enough to offset the expected continued drop in DVD sales.
“Otherwise, the industry is poised to face the prospect of a worsening home video market in the years ahead.”
“DVD sales figures will continue to fall in the coming years and we do not expect Blu-Ray sales to make up for the loss,” commented Jia Wu, Analyst in the Strategy Analytics Digital Consumer Practice. “The Blu-Ray format faces greater competition from DVDs than DVDs did from VHS. Also, Blu-Ray will have to compete with next-generation digital on-demand services.”

I think Blu Ray hasn't really taken off yet. I only really buy Blu Ray discs for films that have amazing special effects or scenery, otherwise i stick to the cheaper option of dvds. Plus i have to watch blu ray through my PS3 cos i dont have a blu ray player. I understand why porn producers are sticking to the dvd format for now.

I have been toying with the idea of getting a blu-ray player (or a PS3 whose main function would be movie viewing) for quite a long time. So far I have not taken the plunge. Why is that? Blu-ray movies tend to be expensive compared to DVDs. With my current Full HD LCD TV I am sometimes painfully aware of the limitations of the DVD format, but usually it is good enough for my needs. Also there is the problem that I would have to update my amplifier to fully utilize HDMI and the high definition audio formats, and I am mostly happy with my curren setup. And speaking of those newer audio formats, would I really notice a difference between DTS and some higher-definition format? I kind of doubt it, and my ears, like everyone else's, will only get worse as time goes by. I recently got a music DVD that sounds absolutely perfect in DTS. The same title would have been available also in blu-ray, but would the experience be any better?
When it comes to porn viewing, at the moment I have a standing membership in a network that gives me access to more porn than I need, most of which is available in 1080p or 720p. I can watch the scenes on my TV in fullscreen mode using a cheap and almost silent nettop computer. What more could I want? Yes, some of the scenes (especially ones shot outdoors) have annoying compression artifacts, but others look just amazing. Audio has never been a strong point in porn, at least in my experience. Therefore blu-ray would not bring any net benefit in that department...

Mike - Also found this. Blu-ray sales Up and DVD sales down
Blu-ray Sells over $330m in Q1 2010
April 5th, 2010 (1 hour ago) bball230
Estimates from the research department of Home Media Magazine are listed each week on Blu-ray.com sales posts. Today they revealed that revenues from BD sales in the US in the first quarter of 2010 were over $331.31 million! This is 68.5% more than in the same period of 2009. Blu-ray accounted for 12.3% of packaged-media sales revenue in the first three months of the year (versus 7.0% in Jan-Mar 2009).The biggest-selling week in the quarter was the week ended March 25, with $45.46 million in BD sales.
I just found some of these numbers interesting to look at. Blu-ray is definably a growing and evolving market. It looks like they have a long way to go to push DVD out of the way but at least they can start showing other companies such as APPLE, that Blu-ray is making money and is worth investing in as a new standard. I think it will be interesting to watch Blu-rays growth over the next few years, especially now that digital distribution is starting to rear its head.

You guys are missing the point here.
DVD/BluRay is not the real question
The future is streaming...like netflix instant queue and Hulu.
Thats where the growth is and HD is here to stay so get used to it.

Nobody is talking about Blu-ray selling more than DVD. This probably won't happen ever. But people need to see this in the right perspective: Blu-ray is still a very young format and it is definitely going stronger than DVD a few years after its introduction. However I agree that it will probably become obsolete in the future because of HD downloads.
Still the porn industry and their stupid sheep mentality to follow what everybody else is doing basically led to their own demise again. If they would have just waited a bit longer for Blu-ray production costs to become more reasonable with more Blu-ray players sold it might have worked out a lot better. But now everybody in the industry (except for Digital Playground apparently) thinks they can't make any money with Blu-ray and shy away from it forever.

I agree with Mike Q and Mike S, Blu-Ray got skipped over.
I read alot about how Porn is - for the first time ever - BEHIND the ball on HD, because Hollywood
embraced Blu-Ray the day the format war ended, dumping millions of dollars into Blu-Ray product that
you can now find in the 'Bargain Bin' at Wal-Mart for around $10 each.
Last I checked, they cost about $8 a piece to produce, authoring and manufacturing included.
It seems to me that it's not that Porn is behind, but we (as an industry) are notorious for actually
following our audience, rather than leading them.
Porn goes where the audience tells us to, and the audience isn't demanding Blu-Ray. They just aren't.
If you can find anyone to give you an honest answer, you'll find that Blu-Ray's are zero sum game if you're lucky.
Personally, as a consumer, I own a couple THOUSAND DVD's in my collection, and maybe a Dozen Blu-Ray's.
It's not worth the expense to me, to replace my movie collection in HD.
If I just want to chill in front of the TV and watch a movie, I'll rent it in HD right on my Cable box.
I'll use an IPTV Channel for Porn. It's right there. Right on my Television.
The only Blu-Ray's I buy are movie's I'll watch over and over again, so the cost of ownership goes way
down. Movies like "Fight Club" and "Boondock Saints" are in my collection. Everything else I'll pay the
$5 to rent in HD.
From the business, Maddy G Productions has been shooting in HD for 2 years, and we aren't even close to releasing a Blu-Ray of anything. We just can't justify the expense. But, our revenue from HD Downloads grows
every single week.
It's not that no one wants Blu-Ray porn, they obviously do. But I really think IPTV and HD Streaming is the real growth area of our industry.

Hey I totally agree HD downloads/streaming is the way forward. Naughty America's content in HD is stunning as are quite a few other sites (although for some I've only seen trailers cause I don't have membership but still quite amazing.) But it's the point that has been made about replacing an already large collection of films with another format - it's not catching on very fast yet because people are content. I wouldn't compare it to when VHS was fading out and DVDs were coming in because they were completely different tangibly as well as other qualities.
I'm all in favour of High Def anyway.

I think Blu-rays are in higher demand than DVD rental, because some websites do not include them in a monthly unlimited rental plan, for example Xrent, but adultdvdempire and hitmovies do.

Does your current receiver have multi-channel analog inputs? If so, you can still take advantage of the new audio formats, as long as you get a Blu-ray player that will decode them and pass them to the receiver via discrete analog outputs. There are a few manufacturers who have that feature on all of their Blu-ray players.
Can you hear the difference? Maybe. That will depend on your current setup. For a 5.1 soundtrack, I don't think that I can hear the difference. However, more and more Blu-ray discs are taking advantage of 7.1 capabilities. I like having discrete rear channels as opposed to a matrixed mono rear channel.

I have a 5.1 setup and I can definitely hear the difference. It's not about how many speakers you got it's about the quality of those speakers. Although in a 7.1 setup it will probably make an even bigger difference.
I'm amazed people still put up with that ridiculous watermark of Naughty America.[xx)]

Are most of the HD sites HD-only, or can customers choose SD video if they want?
I've noticed at many clips4sale stores, the trend is toward HD-only vids. Which for me means having to convert the file (letting my computer work overnight) before I can view it.

I offer both HD and SD
if you want to play HD clips all your really need is a new video card
get and Nvidia with hardware H.264 built in you can play HD on that with a pentium 4
and you can get it easily for under a hundred bucks
beats transcoding.....

^Thnx for the info.
Yeah I'm still trying to decide which way to go re: HD hardware. The video card chains me to the computer; I want more flexibility to watch the video anywhere in my house. Also I doubt that the video card is a 100% solution without dragging me into additional hardware upgrades or a new computer, which is hundreds of dollars. I'm thinking an HD media player will be the better choice.

for the most bang for your buck Id say get a PS3 or an xbox 360 then
add a wireless keyboard and mouse and yer set to watch on your hdtv in glorious High def
but the point to remember is its the video card that is important...and i7 laptop with a shitty intel video card will play HD poorly while an atom with a good nvidia card will play it with cpu to spare
you likely wont have to upgrade...there are even 8xAGP cards with hardware H.264 although the pcie are far more capable.
but the point is when it comes to HD...its the video card and your internet connection...nothing else matters
not cpu
not memory

Personally I am quite happy with my Nvidia ION based computer. In fact I am typing this on it in front of my TV using the wireless keyboard that came with it. I have my music library on it, I use it as a PVR and of course for watching HD porn. It is very quiet and low power, yet it can play pretty much anything.
By the way, that 3rd Degree site overrated guy linked looks pretty good. They seem to be up front and honest about what they are offering and give free trailers that look very tempting.

If you want high definition 1080p 8 Mbps MP4 h.264 adult videos, give Naughtyamerica a try. For $9.99, $14.95, or $24.95, depending upon which referrer you use to purchase a Naughtyamerica membership, this is the best money you will spend, but make sure to cancel you membership unless you want a recurring membership of $29.95 the next month. This is the highest ranked adult network website because Naughtyamerica has alot to offer for very little. Unless you are looking for a particular minor niche, Naughtyamerica has it all.
For example, ZTOD (Zero Tolerance Entertainment, Third Degree) has high definition 1080p 8 Mbps MP4 h.264 adult videos, but the membership cost will be $29.95 per month including HD access like Naughtyamerica, but ZTOD has less updates compare to Naughtyamerica. Before Brazzers, Naughtyamerica, Realitykings, and Bangsbros started offering high definition videos, ZTOD membership cost of $29.95 was reasonable, but now that other websites are adding high definition videos, $29.95 is not worth it; however, ZTOD has full access HD trial for $4.95, so you can download your favorite videos in better quality than buying or renting a Zero Tolerance DVD for a few dollars.
There are two main types of internet high definition format, WMVHD WMV9 WVC1 or MP4 h.264. WMVHD WMV9 WVC1 requirements less cpu power like a Pentium 4 than MP4 h.264, but MP4 h.264 is more compatible with iPhone, iPad, ZuneHD, PS3, standalone blu-ray player, hardware media players, GPU hardware acceleration, etc.

pixelated.pngand then the image will clear out again. I kind of like the effect even though it is not what I would want in a video.
My first impression is that the image quality is not quite as good as 21 Sextury's even though the files are much bigger.

The connection speed shouldn't affect downloaded files, should it? This does not happen with the streaming flash video. Here is a larger crop from the same scene just a moment before it goes all cubist:

She is more recognizable in this one...

It's a common problem on this site that users have complained about a lot here. They promised to fix these problems but apparently they don't give a fuck. This issue should only happen with older files though.
