It had a bunch of names I didn't recognize, one of which was supposed to represent the lovely and talented Mia Stone. I didn't know the other women, but all were of the same caliber. The setting was one of the Budapest houses used in countless movies, and there was a trace of a plot. Basically, it was like watered down Pierre Woodman or Christoph Clark. The sex was tame and inoffensive, with only one girl getting analled. Even then, though two men were present, they didn't DP her. The rest was vanilla. As I said, the women were very attractive, but the movie was only 90 minutes, and had nothing to recommend itself in comparison with the well known lines coming out of Budapest and Prague. You could do worse with a rental, but at least as far as High Octane #5 goes, I wouldn't suggest a purchase.  [Link] |

Thanks, Speelie. There was something about that series that lead me to believe it was a Hustler's version of OGV's Pickup Lines, hacked out comps of clips produced by third parties. Maybe that's not the case with High Octane, but it's hard to tell since I couldn't find valid credits anywhere. Who's the director, for instance?
Too bad, since the girls, as usual, look so good.
Odissey now even produces a new all-Euro series, Pickup Babes. It features some of the best babes but it's likely to be a big disappointment like Fresh Euro Flesh or Pickup Lines.
There's also "Hardcore Innocence", from Elegant Angel. I don't usually trust EA, but what the back box covers show it's not too shabby.
About Mia: she seems to waste her beauty in second or even third string productions. I've heard she's not someone easy to work with. Again, too bad. She's so pretty, with that perky smile and those crystal blue eyes.
Puritan Mag 35 (VHS) stars the big-busted blonde who's in Hardball 14 and High Octane 4. She finally has a name, Alma.

Sbando, the director of High Octane was no one I had ever heard of, "John _____." As to Hardcore Innocence, those movies are Tony Ribas' version of Killer Pussy, and just about as good. They have the crappy extras and such of all Elegant Angel product, but otherwise are almost exactly the same as Nacho's movies. Nacho and Ribas shoot their movies at the same time, with the same female and male talent, at the same locations. Thus Ribas' 110% Natural (which is identical to a Hardcore Innocence, but released through Red Light District) is the sister-movie to Killer Pussy 8, while Hardcore Innocence 1 is the sister movie to Killer Pussy 4. The only difference is that you get a bit more of Ribas than Nacho in a Ribas movie, and vice-versa.
As to Pick-Up Babes, I saw the first one on VHS last year. Typical Stone, with one interesting feature, Elizabeth (Birthday Booty and The Voyeur 20) does anal. Krisztina Bella ("Alexa") has a routine scene, and Sharone merely blows two guys, with no intercourse.
I should add a couple of Mia Stone comments. This could be merely my imagination, but she seems to really enjoy working with studly men. I didn't recognize the guy in High Octane 5, but he was quite buff, and she seemed to like him. And in the brand new Hardcore Innocence 4 (no DVD yet), she is really into Ribas, and both are soon covered in sweat. At the end, he pulls out from mish fucking to shoot his load, and he wants to just sit down and rest. I recently saw Killer Pussy 5 and, as I expected, having read the reviews, I wasn't impressed at all. But KP 8 and 9
have been soo good that I'm definitively looking for more or the same.
110% Natural really looks like Ribas' take on Killer Pussy 7. If the girls stay the same in both series then we'll get to see more of Barbarella and Petra & Petra in the next months.

Wally, thanks, I have a new review up now. From the end of September through the first week of this year I had to devote my free time to a project unrealted to porn. I watched plenty of porn as stress relief, and made comments here and on RAME now and then, but I did not have the time to watch movies critically (meaning taking notes) and then write reviews of them.
Happily, my project is now done, and I am back to preparing notes for reviews, as well, I have some notes from last fall that I will be writing up in the following weeks. So the reviews will be flowing again, gradually.
Sbando, Hardcore Innocence 4 is recent enough that the complete cast info isn't available everywhere yet. So for your interest, I can mention that besides Mia Stone with Ribas, Nacho does a scene with Jazmin/Szabina (110% Natural, KP7, and Buttman's Big Tit Adventure 5) and Mandy (110% and the first scene of KP8). Later, both guys take on Petra Short one at a time (Nacho might anal her briefly, but it isn't explicitly shown). The final scene has Ribas with a pretty girl and the even prettier Nikki Baum/Montana. I'll definitely get the DVD when it comes out later this year.[Link] |
