Check it OUT.
Holly dropped some incredibly funny (and even weird) stories, and was, really, one of the most fun people to hang with during the LA trip. It's rare to hear a daughter comment openly about her own mother's pubic hair. Kinda hot, really [;))]

[croy]I've never even googled "podcast". I guess that means a web broadcast of an interview or something? Anyway, if it's Holly Randall I'll check it out. [/croy]

Might be the wrong forum. She has a more enthusiastic following elsewhere.

As if she wouldn't get her ass kissed relentlessly the second she started posting here. I've wondered why she doesn't.

I don't think she likes her ass kissed.
I'd cross post over there, but then I would get drubbed no doubt.

Skronker, Im about to listen to it now. So I dont know what you asked. But I'll pose a kind question that John Leslie once asked black magazine model Keli Stewart(who never did hardcore): so, Holly, when are you gonna do something? ...meaning hump on film

I don't think that is in the cards, LOL.

She's yummy, though ... I hope more people check out the Podcast. I thought it would be one of the more popular ones.

According to Luke Ford:

Holly's ADT Podcast

Da Milkman writes on Suze.net: "I thought it was funny how the interviewer was asking really basic questions but he asked them in such a long, rambling, complicated way - it's like he just couldn't spit it out."

Did anyone else think this was funny? How is this even gossip-worthy?

Holly sounds hella LA. Did I just say "hella"? Seriously, Skronker I like your interviewing but some of the interviewees just go on and on - try to steer 'em in the short and sweet responses m'kay?

It's hard out here for a pimp :)

I will strive to tighten up my style and be more active in reining in the wild ponies I interview. If YOU were sitting across a table from a babe like Holly, I challenge you not to stammer and warble. The audio adventure is rather new. I'm open to any and all feedback, and appreciate any comments, positive or negative. Daddy aims to please.

I finally got around to listening to the Mia Rose & Sasha Grey interviews last night. Not Bad. I did prefer the live over the phoned-in interview though, mostly because of the volume differences. The only issue with the live interview was the fade-out when passing the mic. You need to get a set-up like on the late shows where you have to pin a mic on their boob.

Yeah Skronk, maybe I can bring a parabolic microphone next time. Cuz you know, where all Edward R. Murrow it's so easy to get the "perfect" interview.

I just listened to the Holly Randall podcast. That was great! I love her outlook. I've been a fan of her Mom's work since back in the day when the Lynn girls (Ginger & Amber) were appearing on a lot of covers.

I think I'll listen to the Brian Surewood interview next.

OK, then.

I completely disagree that you need to "rein in" your subjects. I think the guy Luke quoted had it right. You need to talk less, listen more, and stop interrupting so much and interjecting your own remarks. (It's supposed to be Porn Star Podcast, not Skronker Podcast, right?) You ask too many questions which either go on and on and eventually become statements, or which are phrased in such a way as to suggest what you think the answer is supposed to be. (Sit down and listen to that Penny Flame interview all the way through if you don't believe me about any of this. Oh, and whatever it was you were drinking before/during that interview, don't drink any more of that when you're going to be doing an interview. Geeeeez. Laugh at your own jokes much?) Ask concise, open-ended questions, and just let your subjects answer them. If the answers aren't interesting, then so be it. (But most of the interviews have been interesting in one way or another.)

I think its more interesting if it was a discussion format as opposed to interview format. I think da Skronk has just as much interesting stuff to fill in during an interviewees moments of drift or hot air. But whaddafuck I know about interviewing someone - never done it in my life!

Yeah it's a balance.
I like letting people say what they want to say and not trying to confine it to a dry Q&A. I like the conversational thing. Unfortunately, my brain doesn't work in a terrifically linear fashion so I tend to extemporize – which is something I dislike in interviewers myself (Charlie Rose, etc.)

But it's hard to always be conscious of that when the tape is rolling.

I've liked the interviews and wouldn't nitpick about them, They've provided insight into the performers and help to humanize them for us. Kaiya Lynn gave me wood.
Skronk, if you score a NYC interview with Marie Luv, I volunteer to hold her microphone for good audio balance.

For the most part, I'm going to disagree with the criticisms regarding the podcasts. I like the conversational nature of them far more than I would a straight Q&A.

However, I do think that you need to make an effort not to interrupt the interviewee while they are speaking. That's where it needs to be a little less conversational.

FWIW, I like the way that Skronker conducts these things. I listen to every one of them and prepare them for posting to the site. (I do the editing, noise reduction and compression.) I much prefer the 'recorded convesation' concept than a typical interview. I think they give a much better feel for the subject's personality.

We'll fix the mic-fade problem for the live interviews in the next batch. We'll get another microphone hooked up so each person has their own.

Oh, one other thing. The phone-in ones are typically conducted with the subject on a cell phone. The quality of these calls absolutely suck. The noise reduction process tends to trim a bit of volume as a result. I'll figure out a better way to handle them.

Skronker's interviews are cool! I dont think anything is wrong with his style and admire the way he get's some of the ladies to open up about themselves in a casual manner. This is no small feat. I admit id be a lousy interviewer(mainly because id be awestruck having to face a Katja Kassin or Hillary Scott and I couldnt even open my mouth if you put me before the one & only Alexis Amore: track her down Skronker). But Skronk's recent interview with Lexi Love is a perfect case in point and one of his best. I didn't know her and by looking at her photo I wasn't going to listen thinking she was the usual starlet. But I clicked on out of curiousity and was surprised how well spoken she was and opened up for the Skronk. Another Skronk classic is the Tom Byron podcast. Hilarious yet informative.

Thanks, this is all useful.

You just have to do stuff the way you're comfortable doing it. It sounds like, even if folks have a criticism or two, that something worthwhile is coming across ... and that's my focus.

Mmmm ... Sasha said "parabolic."

Sometimes what the interviewee is say just isn't very interesting - I don't know if you can really do anything about that.

Nothing much, really.
Hopefully, you have enough volume and variety, everyone finds something to like. I certainly have my favorites, but I'm really trying to get lots of different types of performers and directors. And hopefuly people of interest to the ADT "base."

Try inserting some helpful psa's during the interview. Let the subject of the interview read them even.
Also, I'd like to see podcast inerviews of other popular ADT members like bobo-ONE, MLyons and MorbidThoughts...

No... no... that would be ugly. I've thought about interviewing some of the girls but I figured they would all end up like Monstar's interview of Charlotte Stokely so I always refer them to Skronker.

The other problem is I probably would only be able to interview people that I already know a bit about so it'd be confusing why the interview would have so many leading questions.
