There are certain rites of passage for a female porn star. Working with Lex is one of them. It is not as prevalent now, but you used to hear the "have you worked with Lex yet?" question all the time (the same was once true of Ron Jeremy, but that was always in jest). We had a lot of fun making that movie and it has done well for Wicked for a long time now. Julia and I both have punchy personalities when we're together so it worked out well.
She's busy doing her own thing. I saw her in Vegas at the ED convention and she looked great. She was always my favorite Wicked girl. Kaylani has been at Wicked for at least a year and has a fan base that is going to be enormous in no time flat. Keep your eye on this girl she's hot.

As for this dvd, I thought it looked good, more akin to the My Playthings which I see as the best of the line in Virtual sex dvds. The options were laid out nicely but I think once you pick a "room" to play with your starlet those options should then become smaller and they don't here but that's a small thing I'd change. The video quality I thought was pretty good and the scenarios chosen weren't bad. I think in future ones you could work in grander ideas such as having your girl dress up as a librarian, student, lawyer, etc. For the Stormy dvd you get to play with her in the kitchen, living room, stairs, shower, and of course the bedroom!! I am not going to flame you nor am I going to rush to the protection of Stormy and Julia. I can't do that because I haven't seen enough of the girls to do so (nor do I think they need me to stick up for them). It does seem that you are being too harsh on them but it's your opinion. And when you have been here long enough you will see that almost any time a pornstar first graces us with her presence everyone does fall all over them. It subsides over time. Reality is what you bring to the table. No scripts, no strip tease set up, no introduction, no interviews expected, no theme, no focus on any one particular thing. It's when the people involved get to show their real side and you capture it on camera. It's my favorite thing to shoot. I like to study people. I'm an observer and I like to tap into things that they don't show you on film everyday. For me, there's still an aspect of gonzo that is slightly staged in a way. Don't get me wrong, I love it but, it's often very predictable. I prefer my sense of reality to be a little more unpredictable. Keeps me on my toes. Hope that clears it up or at least gives you my take on it.

To me, "gonzo" implies a little more "exteme" stuff -- dp, anal, other acronynm strings (OGATGM, etc.) that seem to be all the rage these days. "Reality" could just be two folks going at it, without the multiple cuts and heavy soundtrack you get in "features."

I'm gonna stop the flood from sweeping DLew away. I don't agree with what he said. I was going to post my opinion as soon as DLew posted the other night, but I spoke to DLew in chat and let him know my opinion. DLew isn't a bad guy. I think he just fits into the group of Porn fans that give Stars respect for things that don't deserve it. Today's Porn fans(a lot of them) give Stars credit for doing the things all that "other" Stars are doing. Things like IR, extreme sex, & multiple guys/penetration. I think the Stars that don't do those things are the 1's that deserve the respect. That group of fans have no concern for the Star's career or future. They just want to see Stars go the same route all the others do. I think Stormy is amazing. I would pay to watch her lay on a bed fully clothed reading a phone book , so to see her have sex in whatever style is a bonus. I haven't seen much of Devinn or Julia Ann's work, but to give a Star credit for "stepping up" because they follow an industry fad is garbage to me. IR, extreme sex, & multiple guys don't = more respect for fans OR better performances....

You questioned why the "stepping up" comment. In my opinion the statement means the opposite of what it says. It actually means degrading yourself or stepping down. Most of the people in that (out there sex)group don't care about you, your career, or your future. They just want to see you(an amazing looking contract Star) doing things that the brand new girls are "forced" to do to get work. I say ignore those people and keep doing what is best for you. The fans that want you to "step up" aren't into you in the first place they just want to see Stars degraded. Your fans are now and will always be happy with your work Stormy. If those people ever start to get to you just look at Jenna Jameson. She has had to deal with this group for a long time, but she knows to let what that group says just roll off her back and keep doing her thing. I hope you will do the same Stormy.

Freedom of choice is wonderful, but it's really not freedom when Stars are dealing with pressure from "so called fans" and directors/producers harassing them about doing the more out there sex.
Ok AC, I completely misunderstood your point, and I hadn't read the post where Stormy was attacked for her career choices. I agree with you. The performers should only do what they are comfortable with and it's incredibly obnoxious to attack them for the choices that they make with regards their careers and bodies. I don't think that it's fair to call IR a "fad." In the past few years the industry has reacted to the fact that black performers are indeed profitable entities and a few are becoming prominent.
