Trademarks and corporate logos. One of the Gangbang series was taken off the market because it had Harley Davidson logos all over the place. Harley brought a suit, and it was yanked.
so if you buy logos and all kinds of Harley Davidson shits you can't display it in a porn movie without their strickly consent? that is bullshit man! so this is America? you guys are sooo funny.
I live in Daytona Beach, FL... annual host to "Bike Week" (1st week of March every year) and "Biketoberfest" (a smaller event every fall). Bike Week, FYI, is the 2nd largest bike event of the year -- with over 500,000 bikers -- second only to the Sturgis event.
In any event, the idea of Harley-Davidson being offended by recognizable logos appearing in a porn film is so hypocritical as to be laughable. With 18 Bike Weeks under my belt, I can tell you that bikes, bikers, beer, tattoos, scantily-clad waitresses, strippers, naked women coleslaw wrestling, semi-naked biker chicks riding backseat, models posing with bikes, girls exposing their tits for a free beer -- you get the idea -- is all intertwined as to be virtually inseparable.
Much of this is performed with Harley-Davidson and beer company logos plastered everywhere. The entire county becomes a mobile fucking billboard :)
While I'm sure DenverDon is correct, I just want you all to fully appreciate the hypocrisy of all the corporate whores who make their money using sex and alcohol to promote themselves when it suits them.
I never was fond of H-D, beginning with the most moronic motor design ever devised, attraction of gyno-chair movers instead of motorcyclists etc. Where is HD in the 200 miles race, BTW. *evil green^Wgrin*
Be that as it may, probably the buyers of new H-D's aren't the Hell's Angels or Daytona Bike Week attendants, but your law-abiding, conservative dentist, who pulls his HD out of the garage at the weekend to clean it.
i worked at hooters amsterdam for 2 years, after that the directors of the us chains came to see us, and said the girls working there were to naughty(we danced in our hooter outfits on the bars, and gave the clients hooter shooters;)so since this was not in the hooters official rules they made the owner give back the right of use of hooters clothes logo etc...
The doctors, lawyers and monied people buying $20,000 to $30,000 H-Ds are the Daytona Bike Week attendants. Yes, the other types are here also, but the beer/bikes/broads cocktail is universal.
Bike Week is, by far, the most lucrative tourist event of the year... both by total dollars and dollars spent per person. It far outstrips Speed Weeks (which culminates two weeks of racing with the Daytona 500). Bike Week visitors are also the most law abiding group we play hosts too. Spring Breakers, not surprisingly, are the most disruptive, spend the least and cost the most to control and clean-up after.
