I can tell that quite a few of you are joking at least a little, but some of you - I can't tell if you're partly, all, or not at all serious. On a personal level, I only see something like this working if it's in a picked genre (don't mix a gonzo DAP scene with a all-out feature boy/girl scene and a vignette girl/girl scene.) As much as I hate porn movies that every scene is formulaic down to which position to start with and exactly what angle the pop shot is done at, I also think that a movie where you would end up having too many people really like less than half the scenes is going to have troubles in the sales area. Pick a genre (hard vignettes, Andrew Blake-style scenes, girl-girl movie, basic gonzo movie, whatever - and then do a voting poll to cast the movie and/or pick the director.) And I'm, really really sorry, but on the off-chance that some of you were serious about ADT members who aren't regular performers actually being in the scenes, I personally would vote against that. Try somewhere in the $8 - $12 range. And there's no guarantee that anything will sell 10,000 copies, let alone 40,000. So let's see... $10 x 10,000 equals $100,000 - $25,000 to $30,000 production costs and marketing. So $70 - 75K. Not a huge landslide over a normal production. Sorry Oly, I don't mean to discourage you, I'm just giving you real-world figures. I had perfectly understood that YOU weren't talking about ADT guys being in the scenes - I was just separating the jokes that came after out. I also agree that IF someone took on the project, it would simply be people voting for things they like, and then the director shoots the things with the most votes and the things he likes. [Link]
