I usually wait until I have 7 or 8 titles I want before ordering and ship with Fedex - it is a bit more expensive, but they are insured and arrive in 2 - 3 days. Never had any problems with customs this way, but cannot comment on standard airmail if that is the shipping method you chose.

I have ordered from another company and shipped via standard airmail - this took about 10 days to arrive.

AdultDVDEmpire has one of the best ordering systems I have used. It allows you to change/cancel your order and to track it's progress once you placed an order.

They tend to have most titles in stock but they can also get backorder titles quickly.

It had been opened by customs, but no letter - so they obviously had no probs with the content. The covers clearly show penetration and cumshots, so this is a good sign.

As you say, pornography is illegal in your country. (I'm not sure which Asian country you live in, but for the purposes of my post it doesn't matter).

If DVDEmpire, who are a large DVD retailer of mainstream titles as well as having their Adult arm, decide not to ship where porn is illegal, it's quite a reasonable decision.

If other retailers are able to use other shipping methods to ship to your country, so much the better. Just as you have the choice to shop where you like, these stores have the choice of where they will ship or not ship.

With orders going missing being unfortunately not uncommon with international orders, and large amounts of Credit Card fraud coming from Asian countries, it's a risk for them to ship to you. Add to that the fact that porn is illegal where you live and it's no wonder at all that some companies will not ship to your country.

If you have two stores that will gladly ship to you, and provide good customer service, then you're in luck right there and are better off simply ordering from those companies rather than complaining about those who will not.

You said that you've ordered from them a few times via FedEx. I'm interested in purchasing a few titles too; what/how much does AdultDVDEmpire declare on the packaging? And is it sent by a box, jiffy bag or envelope?

Has it every been open by customs? I'm wondering if they provide the same assured delivery this way for Ireland. I don't think I'll use normal AirMail coz' Irish customs inspection has been very frequent since 9/11 - even my National Geographic magazines and mainstream movie DVDs sent in jiffy bags or envelopes from the USA have been inspected.

I have never had any problems shipping via Fedex from Adult DVD empire - none of my parcels have ever been opened and I have only paid duty of about £25 once. Not sure why I have not been charged duty every time, but could be that they are very busy sometimes and some stuff is let through. Strange seeing as they make money on it !!

It does add another $35 to the order, but as I only order 7 or 8 titles once or twice a year I do not mind paying that wee bit extra to know they are insured and will arrive within a few days. They are shipped in a solid white Fedex package and the packing slip states DVD Empire as the sender, not Adult DVD Empire which is maybe why I have never had a package opened. The total cost of the order in dollars is posted on the slip, but this does not include shipping costs. I think the slip states the contents as CD-Media. If the order comes to more than $150 you will need to fax across a photocopy of your credit card for fraud protection - this happens only once though.

I order more often from Orgazmik.com as I usually buy two or three discs at a time - never had any problems as they ship the DVD's flat packed in card in an envelope, but without a case, and it looks like a standard letter. I bought a batch of blank DVD cases on the net and all is sorted.

I would recommend shipping Fedex only when ordering a decent amount of discs just in case the order goes missing, but it does cost more and you may have to pay duty. I think Fedex has its own customs people, they do not use the standard UK customs centre down south which is maybe why some stuff is not searched as often, but it may just be luck! As for Ireland, I am not sure how much Fedex is searched. Perhaps someone else on here knows?

Scipio hit the nail on the head, we (dvd empire/adult dvd empire) are much too large of a company to risk breaking the law to fill an order. Please dont take it personally, it's not that we dont want to do business with you or that we do not care about customer satisfaction. We just wont break the law.

Alot of people complain about this, insinuating that we discriminate and wont ship to certain areas becasue we dont want to.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, If you live somewhere that outlaws pornography (whether that be in the US or overseas) and a US retailer ships adult product to you anyways - you are both breaking the law. You have to stop and think - what kind of business breaks the law? not a trustworthy/reputable one i would assume.

Could someone confirm if the DVD's have No Regional Coding?

The reason for asking is that I had a look at the back cover of 'Satyr' and it says that there isn't any Regional Coding.

However, when checking the FAQ's on the site, it says that the DVD's are Region 1.
