| Harrystyles New Member 4 Posts 2/25 |  Posted - Feb 19 2025 : 4:07AMI am just curious about the process by which studios are able to take an old film like say early 2000s or from the 90s and basically upscale it to 1080p quality where you can see all the details on the actress clearly, the colors are vibrant and everything is crystal clear. Also I am generally curious why its only done for select films and not done more often. I think a lot of veteran porn collectors would pay top dollar to see some of their favorite films of the past brought back to life with modern technology or even just a particular old scene from a retired actress they use to gush over. For example, I would love if brazzer made a blueray version of a scene called "guidance into her pussy" involving a prime Rachel starr in the her early 20s. [Link] |

Film, like the actual rolls of film used in movie cameras, can actually be incredibly high resolution. Very high quality. So if a movie was shot on film and originally released in DvD, when they scanned it and put it on dvd is when the quality dropped. They can go back and rescan it to put it on Blu-ray for high definition or even 4k and higher (depending on the original quality of the film) When they switched to tape the quality was capped by the format. It worked fine IN the 90s because TVs still sucked, but now it's more noticeable." For me personally, I think studios are missing out on a ton of money by not just reusing old footage and making it into blueray quality. You don't have to pay any of the actors, pay for location, camera man, director, lighting etc because everything is done already. People would pay top dollar to see some of their favorite scenes that were capped out at 480p due to the time period now being shown in FULL HD.
