i mean every porn stars do same style, then how how awards are given to porn stars
In english movies, awards are given to actors by choosing expression & dialogue delivery so what abt in porn?

It's like in gymnastics, all competitors perform similar acts, but some performers do it a lot better than others.
It's all about the quality of the sex acts being performed.
In anal sex for example, you can have such poor preparation that the guy can't fully penetrate the lady, she doesn't feel comfortable with it, and their anal sex is very slow and very uncomfortable-looking as a result of that. Or you can have the lady and the guy so well prepared, lubricated, and ready for it that it looks like pure fun inside the lady's bum for both him and her.

Honestly... I feel the majority of awards are given to performers based on how much advertising is purchased for it's publication. In a nutshell, if you spend money buying full page ads, your product seems to get nominated for a lot more awards. It's politics, man...

If you're really interested, you can listen to an actual AVN voter... Rog from rogreviews.com has made a series of podcasts in the last two years (he might be doing it again for the upcoming round) wherein he discusses the nominations and his thinking process before the vote.
