I have read on here the female stars talking about the stalkers and crazies that exist in their biz.(Don't worry about me, I am in Tennessee!!!).
How bad is it? Is there nothing that can be done about it?

Some things can be done, but the porn stars themselves and the authorities. The porn stars must inform authorities though and push them into action if they are not taken seriously.

As long as there are famous people there will be Stalkers. I dont know about US law but I guess its hard to report someone to the police untill something really bad happens.

And theres always the chance that pornstars dont get taken seriously or are ignored just due to their line of work, that really sucks. I would guess that more than girl in the buisness tried it and got burned. Sad.

Personaly I really cant see what a stalker gets out of it. What do they hope for? That their extensive knowledge of the girls anal capabilities will bring her heart around or what?

Or maybe they are just sick, and need help of their own.

Isnt porn supposed to be the biggest industry in the world? Its strange that so many companies are able to turn things around the way they want by cash influence alone.

I dont know anything about the porn buisness, but I couldnt imagine it beeing all that hard for a company to actively try to protect their stars by handeling the legal parts for the girls. Helping out with reporting offenders to the police and try to press the authorities to take action where needed.

That kind of shit shouldnt be left to the victim to handle alone.

But then again, maybe they allready do?

Not in all cases no, but im sure quite a few people have a diffrent view on the reasoning of the human mind, be it twisted or not.

At any rate, it shouldnt stop us from discussing what can be done to prevent or subdue the criminal act itself.

Of course not, but you asked what they get out of it. There are many theories, but at some point you have to stop asking "Why? It makes no sense to me."
Why is only useful in profiling, finding methodologies to find & catch, and hopefully to treat.

I'm surprised that no porn stars have responded to this thread. Then again I'd be reticent to recount the events of some psycho stalker.

In any event it's always a sad and sick thing when a person turns to stalking no matter who their subject is.
