How can Girls Gone Wild advertise on TV? Their DVDs do have some explicit material (pussy licking, masturbation, cum shots, etc.). Even at least one of the specific titles advertised has a scen where one chick goes down on another. I always assumed that titles with explicit content could not be advertised on TV. Is there a law against it or is it more the case that stations feel they will lose viewers if they advertise X rated material?

Aren't they advertising on cable television programs only (like E! and only at night)?

I agree that the excerpted stuff they show from those GGW videos look awfully explicit (despite the black bars) for any "basic cable" program. I think, however, that the first two volumes of that series aren't nearly as graphic sexually as latter editions, so maybe it isn't technically x-rated or even pornographic.

Now I'm seeing ads for that Colin guy's Sleazy Friends program (a cable access show originally played on LA cable). That commercial clearly flaunts the porn actresses who appear in it.
