I was a big fan of Julia Ann in the mid 1990s, and then when she worked exclusively for Wicked. She did a mixture of boy/girl stuff, but she always seemed to work best with the guys. Not so hot with women, I thought. I even recall a Wicked interview she did in about 2001, in which she said she didn't like women, and would rather do oral on a guy or have hot sex with a guy. I took it from that she only did girl/girl because she was contracted to, but she never looked like she enjoyed it. Not as much as she did with the guys. However, in the last year or so, Julia's screen output has more or less been exclusively girl/girl, primarily with Girlfriends Films, Sweetheart, etc... But this time, it looks like Julia is really enjoying women. She's turned from a mediocre pussy eater to a first class one. And it looks like she is loving it. So what has happened? Is Julia really bisexual, or does she just act very well??? Does she indeed prefer women? I'd love to know.

I guess you never paid attention to the beginning of her career when she and Janine had an act and it was one of the hottest ever and there was little doubt they were both into women. Julia Ann has done some recent stuff for NA, Brazzers and the like with Men so this isn't 100% true. My guess is she likes both - and what is the harm!
As far as her recent lesbian tendencies, it is probably because cock don't mean dick to her right now! It's all fun and games until someone gets an ear poked out!
Yeah, I'm fully aware of her Blondage years. The point I'm making was yeah, it was a lesbian act. And that's what it looked like, an act. Her work with GFs looks like she is really into women, to an extent I had never previously seen. And in that interview, she said she didn't like women. I was just confused.
At the risk of sounding rude, I thought that she had completely turned. Especially if you've seen her last seven or so lesbian scenes she's done. Hot stuff, I'm not complaining. But if that's an act, she should not only get an AVN Award but an Oscar too!
I suppose you could just ask her since she does post here. She appears to have an equal amount of recent m/f to g/g scenes out or upcoming from what I see. I see nothing that leads me to believe she's gone g/g only. Far as I can tell, Julia has always dug women, or at least certain women. Maybe she simply now has more freedom to do who or what she wants onscreen. As well known as she appears to be, I still always thought she was underrated as a performer, if not misunderstood.

Basing someone's sexuality on the fact they are/aren't married isn't something you wish to do. Elton John was married to a female and we all know what his sexual preference is. There is a laundry list of people married to someone of the opposite sex who are no longer married to that person and are with someone of the same sex. In no way at all am I saying one way or another what Julia Ann's sexual preference is because I don't care and whatever it is doesn't matter to me at all. All I am saying is to say someone is/isn't gay/lesbian because they were married in their past isn't something that would carry much weight "in a trial"
I wasn't trying to insult Julia Ann. I think she's hotter now than she has ever been. And her performances in such movies as Mother Daughter Exchange Club 9 are knockout, boner-inducing hard core greatness. I was just curious as to why she suddenly turned into the best pussy eater in town, when previously she'd been not so good as it. I was just curious, I suppose, why she seems to be favoring girl/girl.
Julia Ann is hot no matter what genre she's working in. What consumers like is always a matter of taste. Personally, I've enjoyed her work for GFF and SHV (I'd start listing scenes, but that would take all night) more than her recent MF scenes. She seems WAY more into it with the women than with the guys. That could be a function of the way various video directors work with talent or the male talent she's working with. I get the feeling that a lot of the "regulars" among male performers are pretty much "insert-tab-A-into-slot-B" who don't even make eye contact with the women they're fucking. I'd like to see Julia Ann in an MF scene for Sweet Sinner -- the work that Nica Noelle has been doing with prominent girl-girl actresses doing boy-girl scenes like Elexis Monroe has been awesome. Incredibly passionate and intense. Julia Ann is incredibly beautiful and extremely talented. Her name on a DVD title pretty much ensures I'll consider buying it.
Check out Julia Ann's scene with Dynanna Lauren in "Lip Service" (Third Degree). Those two are incredibly hot together, and funny as hell. That scene alone is worth at least a rental if not a purchase of that DVD. The rest of the scenes aren't bad, but that one is the best.
Julia is doing A LOT of b/g feature work for me at Sweet Sinner, and she's probably one of the very, very best performers I've ever worked with. I've started calling her my muse. She's the real deal. Every scene is different; she really connects, and really brings forth something real every time.
Congrats to Julia for her AVN Award. Well deserved. Her scene with Dyanna Lauren in "To Protect and to Serve 1" was, to use an oversued term, epic. She's amazing whether with men or women. I'm looking forward to seeing her b/g stuff for Sweet Sinner!
mstrhole, Julia is incredible in our Sweet Sinner movies. I really couldn't say if she's better at b/g or g/g -- I actually don't think she has any weak areas at all as a performer. She's like Manuel Ferrara that way. Not in terms of "style," but just being able to hit to all fields - a great scene every single time. Actually, I just put Julia and Manuel together in a scene recently, for a period piece movie I just did (set in Eduardian times) and they brought out something in each other I didn't expect. It was very powerful, but very real - like Alpha Male meets Alpha Female. My assistant director even said to me "I've never seen Manuel be quite like that in a scene before."
Grover, yes! I highly recommend ANY movies featuring Julia - and particularly the one with Manuel! She has not done one scene for us that is less than totally spectacular. And that's not hyperbole, it's the truth.
