That's something I plan to add too. I can see who's on and the system keeps track of it all. The only reason it doesn't display is because a number of years ago the majority of forum members said they didn't want people to know that they were browsing the forum.
So times have changed and I think that most people won't care if the default is to keep them hidden. If someone specifically wishes to be visible they will have to click their mouse wheel three times and wish real hard. If that works then they will be visible.
Less complicated. I have a page that I use in a non-public area of the site that shows me which users and guests are logged in, what page they are currently on and how long they have been logged in. I look at it once every few months or so. It's not very interesting. I wrote it more as a means to verify that certain things were working as they were supposed to instead of a policing mechanism.
Slightly related question. Is there any reason that you would prefer that I log off ADT and/or close Internet Explorer? (No smart ass answers from the peanut gallery). Do I waste your bandwith or resources by being logged on and open 24/7?
