WHen you post a reply to a thread, you'll see a box that says "Check here to be notified by email whenever anyone replies to this topic." Check that box and then proceed to post normally. You'll get an e-mail at the address you specified in your forum profile every time someone replies to the thread.
However, keep in mind that there's no way to unsubscribe to this function short of e-mailing Drew to have him manually turn it off. So I wouldn't set this on all of your posts unless you don't think you get enough e-mail.
My solution was to create a folder for ADT threads in with my bookmarks. Then, each time I get involved in a thread, I simply add that thread as a bookmark in the special folder. When, as almost always happens, the thread wends its way into oblivion, I delete the bookmark.
The email notification feature for when you create a topic is nice for some things but a nuisance for most others.

That's correct. There's currently no way to unsubscribe. But if you email me I can do it for you in the database.

That sounds like a good idea. I used to just do a lookup of my name, but for some reason that feature stopped working. I get some of them, but not all.
I have added a way to unsubscribe to threads. You can access it from the pop-up user profile window. Just click the "Profile" link near the top right of the page and view your user profile. There's a link at the top of the page to view your current subscriptions and an easy to use mechanism for unsubscribing.
I still have not created a way to subscribe to threads that you have not posted in. I may do that soon.

I have a similar problem. I subscribe to all the threads I participate in but it doesn't work today, somehow. There's a lot of replies in threads I posted in, and I didn't uncheck the box in my profile, still I don't get any notification e-mails. Does anyone know what the reason for that problem is?
Okay, when it comes to members, to have is as important as to be.
Not all that long ago, within minutes of a new post being entered into a thread, I would get the email notification. I noticed this, given the correct circumstances, a few times.
Lastly though, it has not being behaving this way. For example, right now there are a couple new posts that I've come across, that I've not received an email notification for. But it seems that at some later time, all the email notifications come through in one big burp. I noticed this yesterday. Checked email and no notifications - then today I check email, and there they all are.
So, maybe sending out the email notifications has become something that is only handled at a certain time of day. I really don't know - just relaying my what I've observed.

Thanks for your reply, willywilly. Looks like I'll get a bunch of notifications tomorrow... but normally I get them whenever I log into my e-mail account or reload the inbox page, and as a posting whore I do that very often.

Don't know - maybe what I observed was just a fluke.

For what it's worth: compare the time on this post to yours - about an hour or so? - I just checked my email, and there were no notifications there and I should get them for this thread. Came across this post of yours just by skimming around.
Maybe the whole thing is just a temporary hiccup. :)
I found that I have over a dozen email notifications waiting for me today. They do have different time stamps though. Did you mean that all yours have the same time stamp?
Here is another bit of interesting info: Date: Sat, 23 Jul 2005 18:22:29 -0400 That's the time stamp from one of them.
That is saying that it was sent at 6:22pm, right? Now scroll up to my last post from yesterday. :) It was posted after that time, and this email was not there then.

Not the same time stamps here. Maybe the time stamp indicates when the respective post has been written. Then the problem could have been on Yahoo's side. Well, main thing is all is well again.
I should stop calling well-meaning people provincial.
