If you're really serious, put your money where you're mouth is and have a friend shoot a scene with yourself and a girl and present it as sort of an "audition." You stand a much better chance of getting your foot in the door that way. It's one thing to talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk!

But this shit ain't easy. If it were, you would see a LOT more guys doing it! There are SO many who try and so FEW who make it. It's not just getting your dick hard,either. There's a whole psychology involved: as much as some girls in the biz seem like wanton sluts, it is not a "candy store"- These are human beings and must be treated with respect and you must be able to act professionally. If you get a reputation for being a grab-ass or are rude and disrespectful, your career will
cut VERY short, word gets around fast.

Bottom line is YOU are going to have to take the steps necessary to make your mark in the biz. There aren't many opportunities for "auditions," especially in Houston, Tx.

And that comes from a girl who isn't worried about competition of new males coming in. At conventions and places where guys have easy access talking to producers and directors, the companies get completely overloaded with lots of talk from guys who think they could be the next great male performer.

So like Tom said, we usually tune out the talk and the letters and the emails, but would possibly take notice of someone who can show (and not on our dime) that he can cut it in front of a camera.

As an aside, my ex-husband was actually a good "performer" in bed, but when he tried to fuck in front of a camera, he failed miserably. This is what producers are afraid of. They want to know that the guy can perform various positions for a long amount of time and cum on cue before they waste several thousand dollars of production money on him in the means of hiring a girl to work with him, location fees, and everything else for the day.

There's nothing more miserable on a production shoot than a guy who can't get his dick hard.

I have read about some guys getting started in the industry by virtue of having a sexy girlfriend / female friend who also just happened to be interested in breaking into porn, and performing scenes in front of the camera with her as a first step. In other words by being a "hanger-on" to a pretty girl.

But other than that, it's damn difficult for a guy, plus even if you do get a break, like Tricia and GS say above - could you keep it up for long periods under arduous shooting (no pun intended!) conditions with people hovering in the background and directors hollering instructions. Surely this is the reason why the number of successful male performers in the biz is relatively small.
Far be it from me to discourage you if you're dead set on the idea, but it's probably not the picnic and the sexual free-for-all you'd imagine it to be.

The less stressful option is probably just to remain a regular punter, leave all the hard work to others and then sit back and enjoy the results at your leisure!
