I filled in the signature line in the profile but nothing happens.

Next time you post, look below the box where you type in your message. You'll see a check box - "Check here to include your profile signature."

No check box-only a button "submit".

Doesn't your screen look like this:
(apart from different fonts, sub-pixel rendering settings, GUI themes and the red box)

Whoops, I just re-read this:
Hardware was talking about the "post message" screen.

Now I get it! I was looking for the box in profile area.
Duh! You know southerners are all inbred so you have to spell it out for us.

It would be cool if there was a way to always use your signature, so it wouldn't have to be checked on every post.

It used to work that way, but IMO, signatures suck. It really clutters up the forum.

Images in signatures are the absolute worst. We don't allow that. Our signatures are also limited in length because we had problems with people having 250 character long signatures for a five word post.

Why don't you put a featura to allow the signature always enabled for all posts?
I always forget to tick the signature box [o\|]

Because forums that are filled with self-promoting signatures or inspirational bible quotes are a real drag. We intentionally make it cumbersome to use a signature.

^ And I'm happy that it works this way. People can express themselves with the avatar and avatar quote.

Hate signatures that look like they're part of the written message. Often throws me and it just reads like a complete non sequitur, then I realise "Oh, it's just a dumb sig"...
I agree, the avatar quote should be good enough for this forum.

Yeah that can be confusing. In some forums, the signatures are a different size/font/color, to visually set them apart from the main text of the post.

Couldn't agree more with this. I wish all forums did away with sigs. As previously mentioned, the avatar quotes are enough.

^^ Right. Like perhaps I should post those PMs you sent me a while back? I know, I know... in your own mind, you're the pater familias here of ADT (like so many other objects of scorn around these parts). I'll try to mind my manners while you keep posting pics of unwitting spouses. Honored as I am to be the focus of 99% of your posts lately, you could always try "initiating" somebody else. Then you'll have "amassed" something truly amazing.

^ Good to see that's all you can even attempt to deny, you sly "amasser" baiter you.

And really... over the past week, I wouldn't say it isn't that much of an exaggeration. Definitely closer than 50%, and abso-freaking-lutely closer than the 0% it should be (as per our previous private correspondence... do try to keep up). But if you still feel like a martyr, you can shake hands with my friend here.
I liked this one, too. Brings back childhood memories. :)
Oh, and it's also occurs to me how wondrous it is the things constantly needing explained to you.

^^Adult DVD Talk is a Friendly Community
Trolling (baiting people by intentionally posting inflammatory messages) or incessantly harping on an issue/person will lead to the deactivation of your account.
