This program is sometimes included as OEM software on many PCs. screen capture To use the screencap feature, all you need to do is click on a button on the control display. For best results, pause the DVD first. You can even move frame-by-frame to get the best pic to capture. Also, the least expensive version will have this feature, so don't think the more expensive versions are needed (unless you want the extra codecs and Blu-ray capabilities). It doesn't matter which player I use, if I use the player's screen cap utility and then open it up, it's squashed horizontally. I have to resize it to around 115% horizontal to make it look more natural. I cannot figure out what's causing it. [Link]
