If this annoys someone, sorry. How do porn stars manage to not get sick after the stuff they do? I know you clean yourselves out very well, but still, all that ass to mouth can't be good for you, and there are a lot of vids where you can tell she hasn't cleaned well. I had read that many (not all) porn stars are on a fairly constant dosage of one form of antibiotic or another, but Katja chimed in and claimed that she wasn't and had never gotten sick from A2M's and such. There are enough shots I've seen of something other than lube going into a girls mouth during an A2M that I really wondered how they didn't end up with Hep or something less severe. I guess much of it could be from living an otherwise healthy lifestyle and there's not a 100% chance that you'll contract a disease from sucking on something that's been up your own rectum. Not something that hangs around in everyone's ass waiting for a tongue. I know there are some concerns but unless you know the person's status, you shouldn't be licking their asshole anyway. [Link]

The thing is, after having surgery last November, (epithelial ovarian cancer,) my system is a little more apt to pick up bacteria now than before - so I am constantly on probiotics and homeopaths now where as before it wasn't necessary. I've also had to start doing all prep work (enemas, etc.) at home the day of a scene because often we go on locations were there is no hot water - which doesn't really help in killing bacteria when cleaning out. (That irks the frick out of me... Location mgrs should turn the fricken hot water on for what they get paid.) There are lots of things that we do to avoid getting sick, and for me, getting tested doesn't stop at the requisite battery of tests necessary to be eligible for work. We are all adults, we play like adults and should anticipate the reprecussions of doing so... Ragingbull, for some talent - it is a pressure to do things they wouldn't normally do because of a bigger check or more box covers. As long as this industry polices their health practices by using a crepe-paper degreed medical "authority" such as AIM, and doesn't demand improvements, then the whole industry is at risk for Hep, STD's, AIDS, etc. Performers have all the power in the world to demand better working conditions. But they don't. Why? Because, for the most part, they prefer the money to their own personal safety. And anyone who profits from this industry in ANY way is contributing to the issue by not demanding (with $$, the universal language of porn) improvements in working conditions for performers. I've read it before but I really think the massive threat to the porn industry comes from OSHA filings that are just accumulating and waiting to happen. Would you knowingly buy clothing or products from a company that allows their workers to work under unsafe or unsanitary conditions? Most people wouldn't. But will we buy porn that is allowed to be produced under unsanitary and unsafe conditions?
