I understand the story of her heritage but how has she avoided the tag of being a black performer, unlike girls like Skin Diamond and Teanna Trump, who also are mixed. For example, if Skin did a scene with a black guy, it would just be a black on black scene, no real IR. Dont quite understand this. Was wondering if you all could help me and figure out how the industry works.

Raven Bay has a more paler complexion than Skin , I didn't even imagine she was half black until I was told so , looked like some dark white maybe Arabian or so , on the other hand Skin has black African features even though she's much more mixed than Raven.
Anyway this has already been discussed several times, it's not only the Industry as a market even some Black performers consider Skin as black for example Sean MIchaels put her on the cover of his Black Diamonds firs issue (which I happily own)

How many threads do we need to bitch about how Black is Black and mixed-race performers?
Guess what, there's not a single performer out there that is 100% any race.
Porn has several very broad marketing niches.
If you look Black, White, Asian or Latina, that's how you're going to be marketed.
Who cares?
And, FYI, the better performers of all races and mixes seem to rise within mainstream porn that pushes no racial genre(s) at all.
So, what is the problem here?
And, more importantly, do you have a solution in mind?
Keep in mind that there seems to be a big market for Black male/White female IR porn.
Should we expose the not 100% Black enough studs as a "fraud," too?
This has become a broken record already.

I actually don't care I use the term loosely in a descriptive way , if a girl is hot I like her no matter the mix

Yeah no need for another thread on this.
This is being discussed in like 3 other threads right now.
But the simple answer is: don't try to figure it out, because it doesn't make sense anyway.
