I just checked out the AVN awards site and looked at the list of those who have been inducted into the HOF, and noticed that Tricia is not among them? WTF? Not only was she a great performer, but she now does great work producing DVDs for Evil Angel. What am I missing?
Then why is Kaitlyn Ashley in? According to IAFD, she was active 1993-1999. Also, Tricia's first scene was in 1995, and she directed a film in 2005. So, I would think that should suffice.
I started reviewing in 1996 and Tricia won Starlet of Year! She has been in the business 10 years and she deserves to be in both the AVN and XRCO Hall of Fames. Den
No. A performer isn't eligible until 10 years after they enter the business. They don't need to be in the business for that full 10 years. There are many HOF members who didn't perform for 10 years.

Awww. Thank you very much for that amazing compliment. I'd be incredibly stupid to say that if I ever get into any HOFs, I wouldn't be honored, but there are still so many people who were active before me who are so much more deserving and aren't in yet. I'm going to be around for a long time, so if it happens, it happens.

You're as modest as you are sexy, I like that... :) Question: Is there an actual voting panel (like there is for athletic HOFs) and is there a limit on how many people get in at once?

I took another look at the people who are already in, and three of the biggies that I was was thinking about being so much more deserving than me are actually already in, and I just didn't realize it: Missy, Stephanie Swift and Taylor Hayes. hmmmm... :)
I just looked at the list and I am surprised to see that Tammi Ann isn't on there. In fact, I think that's a travesty. Other than that, I think every favorite I've had from `97 and before is there. Given the names that are there, I think that Phyllisha Anne and Kelly O'Dell deserve to be there too.
Tricia definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame! There's at least 300 more names missing from that list. short list: Brittany O'Connell Ray Victory Alisha Klass Johnni Black Karen Summers Angela Summers Elle Rio Rachel Ryan Patricia Kennedy Lili Marlene Kristi Lynn Lana Sands Vanessa Chase Obsession Tera Heart Nina DePonca Flame Janey Robbins Brooke West Merle Michaels Gina Careera Danielle Martin Purple Passion Billy Dee Aja Candy Samples Connie Peterson Fallon Jamie Summers Krista Lane Laurie Smith Lauryl Canyon Lee Caroll Mauvais DeNoir Desiree West Melissa Melendez Nikki Knight Renee Morgan Serena Summer Rose Viper Taija Rae Tiffany Storm Kim Carson

Pornologist: Thank you for that post. You were able to put into words what I meant when I said that there's a whole lot of other people every bit as or more deserving that aren't in yet. Off of your list, I'd go with Angela Summers, Ray Victory, Aja, Jamie Summers and Billy Dee as the main ones (and also Candy Evans) that I'd feel VERY uncomfortable if I was ever honored with the Hall of Fame, and they weren't in yet.
I"d love to see you in there too tricia (btw just a quick aside tricia, were you able to check out the email I sent about a french pornstars line for EA, would love to hear your thoughts about it, thanks)

I boldfaced some especially egregious omissions from the HOF, but rest assured that most of the people on that list are long time favorites and had a lot to do with the industry's growth. What is the process for voting and induction? How did some of these people fall through the cracks. The only other Hall of Fame that has so many glaring exclusions is the NFL.
If it werent for Tricia whole companies would fail. example; Wet,KY,astroglide and vaseoline owe MILLONS!!!! to Tricia!!! Companies that make protective eye wear owe thier livihood to the lucious deviance of Tricia. Ugly housewives the world over would never get any dick if there was no Tricia. Yet this sex goddess is more concerned about others than herself thus only deepening our lust as fans for her and renewing the call for some sort of recognition. But then i see the love she recieves from everyone here and say screw AVN. She's ours!!! [:P)]
Picman, the key word in your post is MOST, "most of the people on that list are long time favorites and had a lot to do with the industry's growth." I'd like to know how names like Rick Master, Alex Sanders, Bambi Woods( one movie ), Julian St. Jox, Dave Hardman, Kyle Stone, Steve Hatcher, Tabitha Stevens and Nick East, made it into the HOF before performers like: Tricia Jenteal Stacey Valentine Lysa Thatcher Mr. Marcus Mike Stefano Jessica Darlin Celeste Lisa Ann Linda Wong Kimberly Kyle Hillary Summers Sue Nero Jake Steed Christopher Alexander Danyel Cheeks Nikki Dial Melissa Hill Kimberly Chambers Melanie Moore Joanna Storm Bobby Astyr Kandi Barbour Nikki Tyler.

Thank you so much for coming up with all of those names. If I deserve to get into the Hall of Fame at all (and I have a lot more to accomplish in this business anyway), I will happily wait until AT LEAST until all of the people I've named in this thread are in first.
Tricia, your place in the HOF, was earned years ago, whether the people who run the HOF recognized it or not. I'm merely suggesting that the HOF has grossly overlooked a lot of talented people. Your role in the industry has been equal if not greater than 90% of the people on their list. It's the people on this board and your fans that recognized your value and greatly want to see your contribution acknowledge.

Pornologist- I was going to send you this in an email, but your email is private: Thank you for that. I really appreciate it. While I don't love everything that goes on in this business, I definitely love this business, and truly do hope that my experiences made things better for girls who came (pun not intended, but I like it) after me.
I agree Tricia, you deserve to be in the HOF. You were an amazingly beautiful woman and a very sexy natural performer. One of the first porn movies i ever bought was "Ass, Gas and the Mystical Glop". I never knew what that meant, but your final scene was something i clearly remember.

Although it is not AVN, i did nominate Tricia for the XRCO HOF this year and it didn't go through, i guess not enough votes, i can't fathom why. Tricia has been doing positive things in front of and now behind the camera for years. Ill keep nominating until she gets what she deserves.....and i mean that ina best way possible.
In meandering through some old threads, I ran across this long dead one. It is shocking to realize how many great names are missing from AVN's Hall of Fame. Some of my personal favorites who have been cited above include Lysa Thatcher, Serena, Kandi Barbour, Merle Michaels, and Hillary Summers; many other notables have also been mentioned (and yes, as the person whose omission started this thread, the magnificent Tricia Deveraux richly belongs). I would also add Marlene Willoughby and Roberta Findlay. Anyone want to continue adding to the list of overlooked greats? And, is there a way to ... ummm, remind whoever makes the selections of some deserving but as yet unrewarded names? For that matter, what is the selection process?
Started this thread 9 years ago and she still isn't in. When you see some of the people who are, it's really mind-boggling. Is she just not getting nominated? Does someone in control have a grudge? It's ridiculous.
Seriously though who really cares about a HOF in such a fragmented industry, where there's a new girl a second and product is consumed in 3 minute clips (if someone lasts that long). Sure for those of us who remember the Tricias and Selenas and even the Ninas and Annettes back in the day, an award may be a reminder. Most porno consumers these days probably weren't even born when the real porn stars like Tricia ruled the roost, though.
