Okay, let me explain the situation. I have a pending order with DVD Advantage. When I was checking out, I noticed that they were using USPS while their customer service pages said they would use FedEx. So I give them an e-mail, and they tell me that if I give them the order number, they can send it by FedEx (which they were having problems with).

The problem is that this all took place on Sunday and Monday (Nov. 30 and Dec. 1). It's now a few days later. I know my order will take a little longer because of the special request I made. Up to now, though, it says it's still "In Process". Am I just being an impatient person who should be told to wait, or is this really taking longer than usual?

Not necessarily impatient, but I would suggest another e-mail to DVD advantage. They answered your first one so it is reasonable to think that they would also answer your second.

I have e-mailed them again, on Thursday and Friday to be exact. Neither has received a reply.

Okay, you didn't state that in the first post.

Does DVD Advantage say anything about shipping times at their website. Some will specify that certain methods of shipping will take 'xxx' number of days/weeks.

I would also give it until about the middle of next week. I had a similar situation with one place, and on the day it was actually delivered to me was the day that the site changed it to 'shipped' rather than 'in process'.

Okay, up to now I have not received any replies. I am reasonably confident it has not been shipped, as I was informed FedEx would be used, and a tracking number would be issued. Would me giving DVD Advantage a call be of any help, despite the long-distance costs involved with an international call?

(I put it here instead of in International Shopping because I felt it dealt with a broader question of order processing, and not something specific to an international order.)

To help try and reduce possible extra expense, I'd try at least one more email and see if you get a response. (I say this because they did respond to you once before.)

If that doesn't work, then a call probably is in order.

(I do understand international calling rates. They can be atrocious and I don't know where you reside.)

I did send them one early (like, 2 AM California time) on Monday. Up to now, it has not been responded to. I fully intend to call them later in the day (in California) if I have not received any response, even if it costs me 40 US cents a minute.

Well, I finally got a reply. A belated reply, but it has all the info I need.

Consider this matter closed - the mods can lock it now.
