If it helps any, they included with my last order a "Vivid Interactive Sampler" DVD...I don't know why, but possibly it was a way of saying, "Whoops! Sorry about the delay! Enjoy!" Maybe you have one coming, too.

I think that your being way to critical. You should have known better than to place an order the day before thanxgiving. I bet you went to the mall the day after thanxgiving and complained about the parking. Honestly did you expect them to work on thanxgiving? Even if they did the post office and UPS are closed.

The delay seems proper to me. If they would have mailed it out next week then you would have every right to complain.

Who asked you, ASSFACE?!

I wasn't complaining about DVD Advantage at all. I was just agreeing with another poster that the delay was probably due to the holiday. I gave the details of my own recent order only for the purpose of illustrating how much of a delay could be expected, and how DVD Advantage possibly tried to make the best of the situation by including a freebie with my order. That's a compliment, not a complaint you JACKASS!!!

The comment did appear to be directed at me, as I was the one who ordered before Thanksgiving, not the original poster.

Sorry about the language. I thought I had recalled reading somewhere in the guidelines that as this was an adult board, we were all adults here and free to use such language in moderation. I thought "assface" and "jackass", being sillier epithets, might have been more acceptable.

At any rate, Dr. Evil's reply was rude--to whomever it was directed--and at the very least, merits "jerk".

My post was directed at ookz, not youngturk. I do owe ookz an apology. I was a little harsh in my original post. For that I'm sorry. Didnt mean it. I ordered someting last Mon from an online retailer (not dvds) as a gift for a friend. When I ordered everything was in stock and it should have shipped out next day (I ordered late at night). But I got an email from the etailer that everything was out of stock, and I would have to wait at least a week.

Then I read the forum, and the rest is history.

It's probably worth pointing out that ookz is not located in the US, and is in fact in SE Asia. Combine this with the fact that he's at least half a day in front of the East Coast of the US, and "knowing better" than ordering the day before Thanksgiving doesn't really apply.

I mean, I'm in Australia, and I know -roughly- where Thanksgiving falls on the calendar but only ever are reminded with it when all the US websites go nuts with turkeys and such for a week or two. I also have no idea how long the holiday period for Thanksgiving lasts for. It's like me expecting you to know when the Queen's Birthday Weekend is here.

So anyway, I agree that the delay is appropriate for the hoiliday, I just think it's worth noting that many people on the forums don't know the details of US holidays. (filthy arseface furriners, all of them!)
