The side effects are worse, so anyone who was inclined to use it for their primary method of birth control, would be better off just getting a regular prescription. [Link]

It also costs about fifty dollars over the counter for one dose. Many girls do take it as an extra precaution if a performer or her partner ejaculates inside her and she is not on any other birth control. Its a nice little cushion of protection. I hoe that helps. Click to expand Yes I have taken the morning after pill a couple of times (in about a 1 year period). I was on the depo shot for probably about 7 months or so and that was a complete nightmare. I wasn't normal at all. I hated it. Then after the shot I was on yasmin....I gained weight, very emotional, never cared about anybodies feelings and never cared about myself.
