I am convinced that Mike Quasar, not Greg Alves, directs the Blow Me Sandwich series. If Mr. Alves does anything at all its on the periphery -- perhaps setting up the locations and booking models. But isn't that what the producer is supposed to do? Anyway, its pretty obvious from the BTS that Quasarman's contributions go far beyond just shooting the camera (as he is officially credited). He is directing the actors and managing everything on set.
Maybe I meant to write something else like the current female directors don't shoot my kind of stuff, for my taste their movies are a little too couples-appeal and not enough raincoating.

Mason shoots for couple-appeal? Have you seen Dirty Trixx? That shit is filthy. Her Annette Schwarz video is brilliant AND filthy. Belladonna also makes some of the dirtiest films out there, we're talking really perverted shit.
Just wanted to clarify a few things. I hate dusting off the pointless degree I have in film, but one thing that was drilled into my head in my first year in the film program was the exact role of a film director. A director envisions the script, treatment or story and then guides the crew and actors in the technical and artist aspects to fulfill that overall vision. The idea that directors don't wear multiple hats and only sit in a chair and just purely direct is not accurate at all. Maybe that was the case during the golden age of film making but certainly no more. Directors like Steven Soderbergh and Michael Bay shoot camera for certain scenes of their movies. Soderbergh also edits. Kubrick was an extremely hands on technical director. Christopher Guest writes a treatment but then has the cast mostly improvise. Very small examples of directors who are extremely hands on. I worked on the 3rd pirates movie and even some of the small pickup shots Gore Verbinski was as involved with the camera as the cameraman was. Also the definition of "director" is far different today. In many mainstream movies the producer has more power then the director. Producers in some cases are the ones that chose or "hire" the director and then end up pretty much directing the director. This concept is pretty common in adult now and part of the reason why the end product (whether it be adult or mainstream) is not always up to par. When a director really invests fully in their product it really comes through (whether it be mainstream of adult). Edited by - kevin moore on 11/23/2007 10:31:44 PM
Cobalt is also a lady who directs her own stuff and cause it chaps my ass no one mentioned it, I directed my own stuff, and at the expense of quality did my own camera work in one film (One gal mentioned a good director delegates the tasks that need delegating)
I want to upload my bts scenes but am having problems of them being over 5 minutes, and took down all my web sites and they have some nudies patooties in them any suggestions if where i can upload them (akin to youtube) and link them
I hope you mean Vanessa Blue composes her own music NOT relating to her porn movies. Cuz I HATE it when they put music over the porn scene. Lolana, which used to be one of my fav porn stars, had an official website of her, and she is so hot with a good voice and is willing to say nasty stuff! However, I got a membership there and there was orchestra music all over EVERY scene of hers on her site! I wanted to hear Lolana' sexy voice not some damn orchestra music!
