But anyway let's say a good gonzo title sells 7,000 units, that's 70,000, if he puts out 6 movies a year that's $420,000 ......... I think i'm high on what the director gets even if he has ownership. But I think the top guys probably are making really nice money, specially if they are prolific and put out alot of movies. L.A. Times did an investigative piece on VIVID and did alot of research on VIVID contract girls. They found out the contracts ranged in value and were quite embarassingly low at the bottom end - think like $40,000, other girls were higher. Tone of the piece was that VIVID Girls contracts sucked. No idea what kind of ancillary money a VIVID Girl would make but I guess for girls that dance being a VIVID Girl does make them alot of money. Other than the top contract girls who are making 6 figures and more I think the new young girls make alot of money in their first year in the biz cuz they are in demand - easily over $200,000.
