How much does it cost ot make a gonzo porn movie ??? for somebody who starts his own business in porn,would it be better to hire new girls or to get pornstars and a question for all the directors here,what was it like for you and how did you start your own compagnie,did you had a lot of money ???

Let me make a guesstimate:
Let's say you would like to make a 2-on-1 flick - five girls getting DPs, doing A2M and swallowing cumshots. Let's say you already have a home studio of some kind, with lights and a couple of semi-professional DV cameras. Let's say you have two buddies who want to make names for themselves as good cameramen and who will work for pizza and free beer. Let's say the girls do all their own makeup.

You hire five girls for one scene each (at $1.000): $5.000
Pizza and beer and the like for five days: $1.000
Two studs from the b-list to make five scenes each: $2.000 total

You do all the editing on your home computer with pirate software, and then sell the product almost completely finished...

It has cost you about 8.000 and a whole lot of your time, the equipment not counted. Hopefully, your product is good enough that some company will buy it.

I guess companies like PXP and RLD spend at least 20 big ones per film.

But that is just my educated guess - please correct me if I'm wrong.

$1000 is a lot of money per scene for a girl. I could get it done for $100 in Mexico or India, easily.

LOL Gonzo is cheap. boy girl scene is 800.00 for the female and 200-300.00 for the guy. girl girl is 400-600.0 per girl, props (toys etc) The cost of the crew, Production assistants 200.00 a day, Dual cameras 400.00 per cameraman (800.00), lights 500.00, sound 300.00, not counting editing 900-1200.00
4-5 scenes later you got your whole movie. Hope this helps.

Seems like it's pretty relative. As long as you already have camera and lights, and acccess to editing equipment, and someone to pick up the backend costs of manufacturing and boxcovers and all of that, just hiring talent and shooting six scenes .... I dunno, my guess is you could do it for $10,000-$12,000, as long as you weren't getting out of hand with the surplus male talent. Hell, do it POV, and you only have to pay 6 girls to fuck you. What would that be? $5,000 tops? Of course, you'd have to be really special and invent "RodnieVision" or be really inspired like Mike John or you'd just be another Ed Powers.
