wicked - I am not sure Internext has a "fan" price since they are mainly a trade show. I do know it was something like $125 but I don't remember if that covered the entire show or just part of it.

I got in for free with a media pass, but spent about $25 a day on cabs. Food was pretty cheap if you ate on the fly, less than $10 a meal -- though I splurged on a $100 high-end dining fest before I left Monday. Motel was $80 a night split two ways. Drank a lot, about $30 a day on drinks --average. But casinos charge $7 or $8 a pop. Flights there (from Florida) and back (to NYC) ran $265 total. Lost $100 gambling. Dropped $100 at a strip club. If I did all the math, though, I spent about $1,000. Obviously, I could skim $300 off if I skipped some of the "luxuries."

I spent a little under $500 all told. I didn't have to pay for my badge but room, car, plane, and food made up the total. Next year I think I will drop the car or share the cost with someone as I hardly drove this one while in Vegas.

In 2003, it cost me about a little over a grand to attend, in fact I think it was probably well over, you know, gambling expenses, plane tickets, hotel room, food (I love food), and a couple of shows.

Oh, you ment the show show, me, got in with a pass, which I am thankfull for or I would've been even broker. But while I might've had the opportunity to go to the awards show, it would've been in nosebleed heaven, and not nearly as close to the stars as I was during the convention.

I'm being funny, but if you want to attend, do bring a good camera, and lots of film, oh. and a good chunk of change, you won't be sorry.

Next year, if I'm lucky enough to go, I'd get a room in a nice hotel on the strip -- for convenience sake -- and book in a little more ahead of the event to enjoy Vegas on its own terms. Probably spend a lot more money, but it would make for an even better time.
