Maybe a lot more than that. From her fan site "...Christy isn't currently making anymore new movies." She is at least well into her fifties by now, as well, and has been out of the business for quite a while.
I'm afraid your hope will have to become regret.

Um, she's in her 40s.
I read an update on her on another board, that her marriage fell apart but she adopted 2 kids, one from China and one from Vietnam. Doubt she'll ever come back.

And besides, I don't believe she cares for anal sex even in her private life. There may be a few porn stars who are hungry enough for money that they will do something they truly don't want to do, but I don't believe Christy is one of them.
Sorry--you'll just have to settle for imagining her doing it.

What kind of a lame question is that?
She has never done anal or DP during the prime of her life. She has been out of the business for a while.
She was never as piggish (in the good sense) as her contemporary Ginger Lynn, so why even bother with the question.

Hey a guy can dream can't he? That's all the OP wanted to do I think.
Christy also has a regular job that seems to pay her enough (DJ), so I think that would make it unlikely as well. There are times when a retired star does take up a company on an offer to do XXXX for a lot of money because things haven't been going well financially, and they pretty much need the cash. Christy probably doesn't fall into that category.
AFAIK her marriage has been broken up for a while, I would guess at least two years, so it's not a totally recent development.

Kill, the poster was asking whether a $1 million would get her to do anal. Talk about the ultimate fantasy. Who in the porn industry has got that kind of money to offer any porn performer (retired or not).
Sure, some would be prompted to open their wallet a bit ($5,000? 10,000, 15,000?), but a million? You would not be able to make you money back in the next half century.
There may be some justification (to which I am not aware of) for her to make a comeback, but the poster never went into that. Just threw the question of the sum of money....

If I'm not mistaken, Nina Hartley did her first DP in the last few years. However, she'd been doing anal for a long time before that.

Well, as I recall, Larry Flynt had a standing offer of one million dollars to a select list of women to pose nude for HUSTLER. Raquel Welch was on the list, as was Gloria Steinem and Dolly Parton. I'm afraid I don't remember any of the others, but the one thing they had in common is that none of them ever took him up on his offer.
The point is, though, that at least one person in the adult industry has a million to offer for still or video work. Not that Flynt would offer a million to Christy for a DP scene, or that she'd do it for a million or any other price. I think he'd be more likely to offer Megan Fox a million for a DP scene, or even something so mundane as a HUSTLER layout. Because you know he'd make his money back within an hour of its release.

Nina Hartley did anal very early in her career, but then was very stingy about it in her later ears. As the years in her calendar flew by and she looked at the mirror and her bank account, she began to hurry up before the engine got rusty. I recall one movie she did in France for Video Marc Dorcel many years ago (I believe it was one of the OFFERTES A TOUT series), and she was questioned in the pre-scene interview why she had agreed to shoot an anal scene (with a male wearing a black condom to boot!) (which she was not doing in the US), and she answered that since it was a French movie there was little likelyhood of her american audience to ever seeing it (now that's attitude). Raven more of less did the same. She did a very lame and poorly photographed anal with Randy West in the US and then went to Europe where she did anal scenes with Rocco Siffredi of all people!
Deborah Wells refused to do anal scenes all her life, but then at the end of her career finally did two (and not even with her old flame Christophe).

That offer was made in the late '70's - mid '80's long before the internet took away easy profitability for any print media considering doing such things.

Supposedly (and I have no hard evdence this is so) there were articles recently published on the net that Leah Lust was offered about $25,000 per page of nude photos by Playboy.
But being offered (whether those offers were bona fide) and being actually PAID that amount is another matter (negotiations over what the person is willing or unwiling to do, may whittle down that amount considerably). There is also the question of when the offer is made and when that person may entertain accepting it. You may be "hot" today, but in 2 months, 6 months, you are old news, and may not have the same marketing cache. Also in today's media world, paying big bucks for a nude photo layout or hc movie may not allow a porn producer to recoup his investment in short or even long run. Now a movie clip or photo is all over the net in a matter of minutes.

I'd imagine some people would be interested in seeing a hardcore Octomom scene but I'm not one of them. I don't find any aspect of her appealing from looks to personality.

Here' a question for you:
If someone actually paid Christy Canyon a million dollars for a DP scene would it be a wise investment? Are there that many paying porn watchers who want to see that to make it a profitable investment for someone?
Which would be the most profitable? A Christy DP scene. A Christy 8 man (white male) gangbang. A Christy 8 male IR gangbang. A "C is for Christy" type DVD where Christy doesn't do anything wild but has scenes with today's top male and female talent?

It is really a moot question. No one will offer that amount. Christy Canyon although very popular in mid-1980's and early 1990's does not have the same marketing cache.
Anal/DP scene for her? Sure, someone may open open their walllet a bit and say offer $5,000-$10,000-$15,000 but beyond that there is no way a company would be able to get its money back. Would it be one scene? Would it be short? With one male, two males, 3 males? Would it be a feature movie with plot or all-sex? With or without condom? Would she help market the scene, do appearance, etc? All these things factor in the type of movie/scene that would be shot and the kind of money that would get her to do it. And which porn company has that kind of money sitting in a bank account, and to hand it over for just one DP scene? Not in this real world. Perhaps in your fantasy...
I could only see a Tom Byron trying to get her back to do a porn scene with him (not necessarily anal or DP) like he has so many retired performers in the last couple of years. She would be paid well, but no phenomenal amount. I don't know whether she would want to go back to Vivid or even shoot for Private. I don't think she would be paid that much more to do a gangbang or DP scene, so there is no compelling monetary reason for her to do that. If she could be convinced to return to porn it would be either for a one-shot deal or return for more or less permanent basis doing regular stuff.

When it comes to a DP scene, I think Racquel Darrian and Serenity or even Devon would be better choices. I always wanted to see Racquel Darrian go over to the dark side and take a cock in the ass. That's who I'd waste my money on. I would say Janine but I don't think we'll have to wait long for a DP/Gangbang from her once she's out of jail. Nikki Dial would also be a great choice. She is still very young (around 36-37 I believe). However, since that will probably never happen, why not try and convince the young starlets to do DP. With Aubrey Addams, Eva Angelina, Missy Stone, Dakoda Brooks and Jessica Drake crossing the DP picket line, there are plenty more who could do it as well. Gianna, Alexis Texas, Sunny Lane, Lexi Belle, Amia Miley, Eden Adams, Nautica Thorn, Eve Lawrence, Amy Reid, Kacey Jordan and a whole plethora of others that could produce mindblowing scenes. Let's get more of THEM to do it!!!

Finally dug up the interview. Dunno the source.

(February 14, 2009)
The world's largest producer of adult films is throwing an anniversary party tonight, celebrating a quarter-century of triple-extraordinary change.
Vivid Entertainment Group has grown from a two-room office to four-story corporate digs. Porn movies have bounced from seedy theaters to VCRs to PCs. And, in the most jarring change of all, the iconic cinematic sexpot Christy Canyon has embraced suburban motherhood.
The San Fernando Valley resident exposed to millions as Christy Canyon had lunch with a writer one day this week and spilled secrets of both her four-letter world and her domestic side.
The next morning, she was on the phone, worried that the newspaper story might spoil her well-crafted image by emphasizing the un-juicy details.
"It's kind of a turnoff if people think about me cleaning the cat's litter box," she said with a throaty laugh.
Don't be scandalized, fans - there's still plenty of "Christy" in the woman whose family and friends know as Melissa. She hosts a dirty-talk show on satellite radio's Playboy station. She runs an X-rated Web site. She self-published an autobiography ("Lights, Camera, Sex!").
And she'll dress up (or is it down?) to appear with other stars at Vivid Entertainment's party tonight in Hollywood, where the Van Nuys-born, Universal City-based company will mark 25 years in business by opening a monthlong exhibit of erotic art from Vivid box covers and behind-the-scenes photography.
For Vivid Entertainment co-founder and owner Steve Hirsch, it's a celebration of a venture that began with a film starring Ginger Lynn that was produced for a borrowed $20,000 in a rented house in Malibu in 1984, and now is credited with leading the skin-flick industry to higher production values and more enlightened business practices.
For Christy Canyon, 42, it's a chance to reflect on her own porn beginnings in 1984 and her rise to iconic stature among Vivid's "contract" actors until her final retirement from sex scenes in 1998.
Over salad in a booth at an Italian restaurant, she spoke in the nostalgic tone of all those Hall of Fame athletes who insist their era was the best and the kids today don't know what they're missing.
"The '80s and '90s were the best time to be a porn star," said the dark-haired, tastefully made-up woman wearing jeans, an off-white sweater and a pendant necklace picked out by her daughter. "There was more of a heart in the '80s and '90s. There was more warmth and caring and loving. I really felt spoon-fed and coddled and taken care of. ... I always felt the business was a safe haven for me.
"I didn't quit because I didn't like it. I quit because I was burned out. It was exhausting having sex every day."
She complains that porn production seems too much like a business now, that she is put off by hearing girls talk about porn as a normal career choice, that she hates the rough sex acts demanded by companies that trade in shock value.
"I would not want to be a girl in the business now," she said.
By her own description, Melissa (who asked that her last name not be printed out of concern for her children's privacy) was a "perfect target for the porn industry" when the North Hollywood High grad was kicked out of the house after her parents divorced. She and the rest of the small circle of sex stars of the 1980s were classic "wayward girls looking for acceptance."
She said Hirsch and Vivid, for whom she worked from 1990-98, became the "family" she needed. Told it sounded like a clich - girl seeks substitute for father's love - she replied: "I'm lucky to have (a substitute). Some people don't even have that."
She worked on-camera on and off for 14 years, and toured as an exotic dancer. She made nearly 200 X-rated films, won porn's equivalent of the best-actress Oscar, and was chosen for two industry halls of fame.
"She was one of the greats," said Paul Fishbein, president of Adult Video News, the porn trade journal. "In that Ginger Lynn era, there were four or five huge names. Traci Lords was one of them, Christy Canyon was another one. She was natural, she was before the era of augmented breasts."
But Fishbein said the attribute that's still paying off is that "she had a good head on her shoulders and invested her money."
Said Hirsch: "She is a great example of what you can be after a career in this business."
Hirsch, who lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife and two children, disagreed with his former star's view that the porn industry was better in the old days.
"It is true the business is different from when Melissa was in it," Hirsch said from behind his tidy desk in Vivid's remarkably sterile office building overlooking the 101 Freeway. "The flip side is that there are vastly more opportunities for girls to make a living in the business now, to have control over who they work with and how they're presented.
"I think the business is more professional than 25 years ago."
It certainly is bigger, the approximately 200 Valley-based adult-content companies estimated to have produced $1 billion in revenue in pre-recession 2007.
Christy Canyon half-jokes that she liked it better when it was less "professional," when it felt naughtier.
Now she lives what she calls "a double life," split between reality and her porn character. "I have it all balanced."
Fishbein, who remembers when Christy Canyon was a "quiet and shy" porn debutante, thinks "she's in a really good place" today.
After her third divorce - and fueled by hard memories of her own family's rejection - she decided she wanted to adopt children. She said she didn't tell, and adoption officials didn't ask, what she used to do for a living. She now has a daughter from China and a son from Vietnam.
Sometimes her two lives collide. Recently, she and her daughter were in a computer store. A salesman approached and said he's a fan.
"What did that man mean, `I'm a fan'?" her young daughter asked.
Thinking fast, Mom answered, "He means he listens to my radio show."
She figures that by the time her kids are old enough to understand her past, it'll be too far in the past to be an issue.
Vivid's photo exhibit, called "All American Porn: 25 Years of Erotic Photography From Vivid Entertainment," will include photos of a wavy-haired Christy Canyon in what she remembers as her glory days.
"I did it, I had fun, I loved it," she said. "Thank goodness I don't need (financially) to do it anymore. Being a mom, I don't want to do it anymore."
But she said she's happy keeping one stiletto heel in the ultimate show business, still playing Christy on the radio and at events like tonight's.
"If I was Melissa all the time," she said, "I'd get bored."

It's not my fantasy. I have no real desire to see Christy Canyon get DP'ed or even return to porn really. I don't even like the way she looked during her last comeback in porn. My ideal Christy Canyon was how she looked during the early 80s.
The reason I asked about if a person could make their money back on a million dollar pay out is because I heard Kim Kardashian got paid about 3-5 million for the rights to her tape. I don't know if that true but it sounds a bit high to me. Even if it was a best selling DVD I can't imagine the tape selling that many to make that sort of money back. I thought perhaps I was missing something or there's more money in this than I thought.

The money's not in porn. It's in famous people doing porn.
In a culture like ours where Wal Mart shoppers set the standards, we make celebrities into royalty -- superior beings. And nothing appeals to the miserable low intelligent losers that form the biggest consumer base in America like seeing the High and Mighty brought down to their own level - or lower.
What could be lower to that God Fearing Homo hating woman debasing hypocrite, the American consumer, than to see some goddess of the tube sucking someone's cock on a stolen home video?
Yahoo! Can't ya' see 'em by the millions, slinking into an out of town Excitement Video so no one they know will catch 'em layin' their money down to see Kardasian's tits? Well the big money boys can see just that, and five million's peanuts compared to what they can make.

Well, in the documentary Thinking XXX there's a scene with Christy posing nude which is possibly the most recent scene she's done, and she looked really good to me in it. While I hate to see anyone retire from porn, I am glad she's healthy and she's happy.
Thank You for posting the interview, Ordell. It was really great to read.

When you get a copy of that check, just post it in this section.
No way on earth anyone would pay that kind of money for such a sex tape. No one has it, no one would pay it, and no one would make even any fraction of that amount in today's media world.
From the interview of Canyon, one gets the sense that they want to get away from it and try to have a normal life, but for whatever reason they still want to be in the porn sidelines just the same.

Maybe I misunderstood about Kim getting paid for the sex tape thing...She didn't sell it and perhaps that 3-5 million that was mentioned was from her suing someone over it's release. I'm not sure...and a bit sorry I asked.

She tried to stop Vivid from releasing that tape. It was delayed slightly but Vivid went ahead just the same. I don't know how it was resolved between them, but she was not paid a great amount of money if at all. I think she much more publicity from the release of that sex tape than by hanging around with Paris Hilton.

We're getting a little off topic, but...
What you say is not my understanding. I don't know the "amount" of money Kim received but Vivid paid her an out-of-court settlement that was enough to get Kim to drop her law suit. Since Kim did not own the tape (RayJ did), she may not have prevailed legally...but, she could have tied Vivid up in court for years. And further tarnished the already questionable practice (by Vivid & other porn companies) of releasing a video showing sex between people--when one of the sex partners hasn't agree to the release.
Porn fans may say "Oh, sex tapes made Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton famous and they should be glad" but that's not the way the mainstream public (who could make up civil juries) view it. To many people it's an invasion of privacy. For example, Irish actor Colin Farrell used his lawyers to successfully prevent the release of a sex tape of him and a Playboy Playmate, who was his ex girlfriend.
Many people (celebrities and civilians) don't believe tapes of themselves having sex should be sold off to pornographers by ex lovers, and released to the public. IMO, their wishes should be respected...and when not, the company releasing the video should be made to pay thru the nose.

We have been off-topic for a while now.
Vivid was prepared to release the movie with or without her consent. Vivid indicated at the time that they had done a legal analysis of the situation and that they had the proper rights to release it. Of course they would have preferred to have her consent on the matter, and the release would have been smoother. If and what she was paid is not publicly known. The release of the tape did not tarnish her "reputation" at all, nor did it ruin Paris Hilton. As a matter of court both were even more popular after the release of their sex tapes than before.
With regards to sex tapes, if you do not want to have naughty pictures or home movies ever fall in the wrong hands, DO NOT MAKE ANY! It's hard to feign "outrage" and "invasion of privacy", when such material starts winding their way in print/internet. If you look at all the sex tapes that have been released over the years, just mention one where a certain celebrity's life or career has suffered in any way. Many of them at some point or other have "reluctantly" cooperated with the release and even financially benefitted from the release either directly or indirectly.

My point remains: it's a matter of "privacy" and "individual rights". If I take a photo/video of my girlfriend naked and later (after we break-up)publish it, it violates her "privacy" and her "rights". Yes, that means you, RayJ and Rick Soloman!
Saying she shouldn't have posed also misses the point: publishing photos/videos of other people--who did not take them to be made public---is wrong. Somethings are just that: right or wrong!

That's the whole problem: who took the video, and what the intent of the parties involved? Who owns it? Who keeps it, and the purpose of keeping it?
You can argue this until the cows come home, and any legal action will result in high lawyer fees and no sure way of winning the case.

Her chances of doing a DP on camera are slim and none and slim is at the betting window putting his money on none. She sure had a nice body, a sweet smile, and she had a particularly fleshy pussy that looked oh so yummy.

Kim's mother/manager Kris as gone on record as saying to the effect of "As a mom she thinks the it was terrible that the tape was made public but as a manager it's the best thing that could've happened to Kim". I'd be willing to bet if Kim had the power to go back in time and stop it from happening she more than likely wouldn't. Other than the initial embarrassment and being asked about it early on in interviews there really hasn't been any downside to the whole thing that I can see.
It's an embarrasing and harmful thing to happen to a "civilian" when you lose your job over something like that but for a celeb I don't think it has ever really hurt a career.
So yeah, you're right it's an invasion of privacy but for some celebs the fame some gain and what money they end up with in a suit more than compensates for it and in the end it usually ends up being a good thing for them.

The fact that a celebrity sex tape is released, despite the protestations of the celebrity, does it not mean that model releases were approved and signed? That all the anger and vitriol of said celebrity is a facade to fool the general public who will find it easier to believe that evil pornographers have illegally violated the celebrity's right to privacy rather than the celeb wanted the tape to get out?

Of course I understand your point that this is the only sure way to avoid this situation, but it still sounds a bit like blaming the victim for the crime. By that logic, if you don't want someone to steal your car, do not drive, etc.
Celebrities, pornstars -- everyone, has the right and expectation to keep private whatever part of their lives that they wish to. If they get off making sex tapes they should be able to make them without fear of their publication, and knowing that whoever violates their privacy will face sure and severe consequences. That anything less is the case is deplorable.
That said, this whole celebrity sex tape business is very suspicious. I'm not sure that the victims are not also the perpetrators. Regardless of getting money for their so-called 'stolen' tapes, their publication has invariably elevated them in the public notice, a result that increases their notoriety and their dollar value. The money may or may not matter to them; they are already rich. But all of them have been obvious fame junkies.

In the old days, politicians, rich people, celebrities wrote letters, kept diaries. These were personal items and most likely not intended for publication or general dissemination. We now know something about their personal (and secret) lives that was not generally and publicly known. People (biographers) have had access to these opersonal papers and have written biographies.
Do we burn these documents and claim that it's an invasion of privacy?
Look at the last Pope, when he died he directed that his personal papers be burned/destroyed. That's it. If you do not want something about you being discovered and bandied about, then don't make it or destroy it before it's too late.
As it has already been pointed out, all these "secret" sex tapes that have been talked about and publicized over the last couple of decades have not damaged the personal reputation, the lives and merketing ablities of these people to make a living. As a matter of fact they have come out more popular than before.

Everyone has their price. $1M is a lot of money to most people. The celebrities named in the Larry Flynt offer were/are all well-off, and $1M isn't that big a deal to them. That's the thing. The businessman who makes such an offer has an expectation of making the money back. So, it has to be a celebrity with a mainstream entertainment media presence, not a porn person with no name recognition outside of porndom. Perhaps some superrich dude like in the movie Indecent Proposal could offer $1M just for personal entertainment with no moneymaking motive. In which case the public would never know about it. I know if I paid $1M or even $100 for a private custom video, I'm not sharing it with anybody. Get your own.
