I noticed a halo effect around the actors when I was close to the TV set. I have read that the process is used to trick a person's eyes into seeing a picture as being sharper then it actually is. http://www.videophile.info/Guide_EE/Page_01.htm I briefly noticed the halo effect in a couple of Twilight Zone DVD episodes but they were much subtler then the Lost In Space 3rd season DVD episodes. I have never noticed halos on any of the x-rated DVDs that I own. I have read that the halos are much more noticeable on big screen Television sets. There are people trying to get movie companies to completely stop using Edge Enhancement. http://www.demicomix.com/Carnal01.htm http://groups.yahoo.com/group/carnalcomics [Link] |
