From what I've seen, the "gold standard" (in R-rated pics) can be seen at www.alsscan.com. They know how to do it, and do it right. No rash, no redness, no distraction, just "pure pleasure" and clean, shiny, smooth, silky-looking skin. Can any industry insiders explain what the trick is, and how do the good ones do it? And hey, EVERYONE in the biz should pay attention to this, because some people obviously haven't figured out how to do it right. I don't know, and I don't claim to know. From shaving my face for quite a few years, my best guess would be: 1. The skilled ones do it in stages, rather than attack it all at once. Start with some scissors, to reduce loft, bulk, and the risk of yanking any hairs out; then, a once-over with a sideburn trimmer on a man's electric shaver (or something similar) gets it even more ready, before they get out a razor blade; 2. When she's ready for the razor, she should use it in a steamy hot shower, with plenty of shaving cream; and, 3. As soon as it's done, she puts on some oil, lotion, or ointment. Those are just guesses. If any experts (or skilled amateurs) would share their secrets -- and if any clumsy clods would pay attention -- they could really take it to a higher level.
