DP always had two major flaws that drove me mad with every scene. One is an enormous excess of the guys's hand masturbating the girl during sex.. I mean constant! If I want to watch the back of a guys hand up close or far away in preference to the vagina it is concealing I will find a hand fetish site. The second was/is the yo-yo effect where the camera goes in way to close then moves out way to far and back in too close, etc. So watching a Stoya scene( a star that makes me put up with DP's deficiences)I have to watch her being non-stop masturbated every second of every scene, concealing and distracting, over and over. And while that's going on the camera is showing me her chin her mouth and half a cheek alternating with a shot from 40 feet away zoming back in to a close up of a shoulder and back out to the opposite....and so on and so on. Maybe the best definition of how hot a star is(coughStoyacough), is what viewer indignities will I let myself be subjected to in order to see what I want to see. Try a subscription to Facial Abuse, The Dude (and be prepared to send a check, I doubt they can get card processing). Fabian (Manwin/Mansef, the new owners of DP) had an abuse site and was forced to shut it down by the credit card processors worried about being prosecuted for its content. Sexually Broken would also be an option if you enjoy BDSM elements in your abuse, that site is directed by and male talent is Matt Williams (formerly of Kink) and owned by PD of Intersec and I think their card processing is out of Europe where abuse sites are tolerated (but produced in Oakland, CA of all places). The other Intersec sites may also be of interest. Also, by joining non-Manwin sites you aren't supporting thieves.
I notice that this year (or since she re-signed) that Jesse Jane hasn't starred in that many movies by alone as the contract star. It seems she's often teamed with Riley Steele. I think Riley hasn't had as many solo contract girl movies either. I wonder if they're both at the point that they need to co-star together to move as much product as they did seperately? I wonder how successful DP would be without Jesse and Riley.
While I understand DP is a "couples company," committing to at least a limited rotation of films with more group scenes would be a plus. Particularly "vanilla" group scenes that would appeal to a large segment of the couples market. One appealing aspect of the DP line is that you get the sense that the female talent is comfortable with the action -- that's fine by me. But a limited series for each of the contract girls "exploring fanatsies," etc. etc., would be a nice change of pace.
