I have a bunch of clips in mp4 format, and you need Appletime to play them. I need a free joiner, or some method to join them.

I think Avidemux can do it. I'm not 100% sure, though. I only use it to crop DVB-T recordings prior to burning them on DVD. It's very easy to use.

Get Total Video Converter. It's very useful for nearly all media.

EDIT: Hmm. I just looked at the site again and found that it is a now a 15 day trail. The one that I downloaded a while back seems to be full featured and free, but I have used it often enough that I would have paid the 45 bucks. I still suggest checking it out.

I'll see if I can find an old free version. The installer may be on my computer still. Let me know.

nietzsche - If you're looking for good freeware video utilities, the pickings are very, very sparse. Be careful if you go looking for them. Most that advertise themselves as free are not. And some of the links will infect your computer if you're not fully protected.

Okay Neech I found a free one.

Get MP4Box

And then get the front end for it (unless you feel like working from dos commands)

The front end is YAMB.

Unzip both files, put their contents in the same folder and run YAMB. Drag and drop file support.

I haven't done too much experimentation but this seems to do exactly what you want and in a very easy way.

I found this stuff in the MP4 FAQ on the Doom9 forums.
