I'm sure many people have spent lots of disposable income on impulsive purchases there, mostly because it's so easy, so browsable, with legitimate reviews, and you're sure that the listed price is all that you will be paying. If you jailbreak your device you could probably download all the content for free somewhere, but the average adult doesn't have the time. The truth is that the most active pirates basically pirate for the sake of pirating, and build up libraries they don't even have time to go through once. What's stopping adult entertainment from this sort of model? For one thing, there seems to be a lot of distrust between the big companies, or at least the unwillingness to want to share a platform and the profits from it. Secondly, to develop a system like this takes expertise and money, and most investors and corporations won't touch hardcore porn with a ten foot pole. And though some people might think it's just from prudishness, the truth is that though we all know of a handful of companies that are mostly responsible, porn as a whole has honestly earned its reputation for being a shady business where there aren't many standards of professional conduct, and almost everybody has a story of being exploited, not just the performers, but any customer that has believed the promise of a video cover or website. Maybe a group of producers can get together and develop some kind of A-level certification for professionalism, health and saftey benefits, consumer satisfaction and, yes, performer residuals, which would get the respect of the public at large. These are full scenes as well, not trailers or promo clips. These scenes are being placed there by Videosz, a well known all-you-can-eat VOD site. So when a studio sells their content to videosz (and the only studios on videosz are mostly low-end stuff), Videosz is taking that content and uploading it to all the other tube sites. It's perfectly legal, whether or not the studio realizes it, I'm not sure how many studios actually read the contract or realized what Videosz' intent was. So it's keeping these tube sites full of full-length content (albeit lower quality stuff) combined with all the stolen higher-quality stuff. Edited by - nateglass on 7/27/2010 3:50:07 PM [Link] |

Multiple platforms of this type exist (AEBN, hotmovies, videobox, clips4sale), plus a lot of publishers have their own thing as well (Zero Tolerance on Demand, Evil Angel on Demand etc.).
