The updates disappeared overnight, and before long Raul's content was replaced by poor quality generic content; Below par porn from 7-8 years ago. Seriously though, the perfectgonzo team need a new string to their bow in the form of a new website, and Evil Angel need to move away from hiring directors purely to emulate their former titles... Otherwise, it's just polarisation and not improvement. I think Christoph has become more casting couch orientated in recent years, and the directors that Evil are hiring are from gonzo backgrounds, purely. Time was when Manuel's early films at Plat x and Red Light had an edgy Rocco blueprint, now they interest me less because i feel i know every backdrop and every outcome to each scene - they were all shot in the same place, with the latest gravy train of Red Light girls. Take me back to Anal Expedition 3 anytime. Give me a film by a director which isn't a cut and paste from their former studio, with a different theme and some different boundaries - because that's what i feel paying the extra $9-10 for an EA film is all about, and when you make the Evil grade, you should know that automatically. And we believe that they do improve their work at Evil Angel. Our standards are higher, and it's very commmon when a director comes on board that he has an edit of a movie rejected to go back and get tweaked, or is asked to shoot another scene or two to make it better. THAT's what you're paying the extra money for. That, and John's eye as our 'talent scout'. John is the ONLY person at Evil Angel who picks our new directors. I understand that you might get bored easily and want to see new and different things, but I'm content with letting the directors do the thing that they're currently passioniate about and not tell them that they have to do something different 'just because'. Seriously Tricia, if you saw the amount of EA movies I own, and how much i've enjoyed the regular stable of directors, you'd know i'm just playing Devil's Advocate and firing a reasonable question out there for debate! I just think there's a fine line between continuing along the lines they were doing, and putting out Red Light style movies which cost $10 more. I appreciate the close knit way the company is run, and think it's a good, sorry, great ethic. I didn't mean that you guys literally had talent scouts. I think i have commented before about how the fact that you come on here daily and answer things directly is very positive and there is no way anyone could accuse Evil of being a faceless company.` [Link]

I love his work, and I also think he is one of the most underrated directors in porn business. I only hope that the new Asstraffic series (coming out in January from Evil Angel) has new content, and don't be only a compilation of asstraffic clips, because I have all these clips, and I want new scenes. When a new director comes to EA, do they bring their own equipment or do you guys have some kind of standards that you want them to live up to as far as the quality of the cameras and lights, etc? Click to expand I kinda thought you guys must set certain standards because I've never hesitated to get an EA movie just because I was afraid the production values would be bad. When I rent, I pretty much always get at least one EA movie just because I know that the quality on some of the other stuff probably isn't gonna be great. Either that or it's a company I haven't tried before and the quality is unknown. I'm sure you guys know it but you do a great job with this. Wish everyone was as concerned with overall quality as EA obviously is. [Link]

The color is certainly there on my monitor but the entire picture seems to have a slightly orange(ish) color cast to it. I haven't seen any of their latest stuff but as recently as two or three months ago, this was the case (at least on my monitor). I think some people just might not notice it or consider it to be a problem because the color cast is a warmer color and a lot of people seem to like that. Color accuracy (or lack thereof) has just always been one of my pet peeves. Like I said, could just be my monitor (it's at least 6 years old and wasn't expensive). I don't think so though because I've seen stuff that looks very natural and accurate on this monitor without any correction at all and there doesn't seem to be any way to really completely correct the color cast I was referring to in the Asstraffic stuff. It works well in some cases and not so well in others. Trouble is, a lot of gonzo camera people just leave the wide angle lens on there constantly and you never get to see a (relatively) undistorted view. WA can be used to good effect with asses and tits (and pussies and everything else, mostly in closeup) but it really should be used (like just about everything else) in moderation. [Link]

When he was relatively unknown and still in Europe his scenes used to be unpredictable and the sex more uninhibited. And when he moved to U.S he did good work for Brandon Iron and Mason. Over time, U.S has hindered his style. In Jakes's Rookie Pussy with Sarah Jane and Bobbi Starr you can see the limits and some glimpses of the old.
