Assume that nerve signals, the biological impulses conveying sensation, have been quanitified and are able to be transmitted as electronic information, much like .mp3's convey sound, and .mov's and .avi's convey both sight and sound, in various durations and qualities. Also assume, that a person can also experience this transmitted sensation in a non-invasive way. (most likely a specialised device) Now, with these assumptions in place, presume that it's possible to create or modify an object designed to receive tactile sensations, transform them into the electronic format, and send it along the Internet. Now the big question. Would any star use a sex toy or similar modified device in a streaming show, knowing that there are god knows how many people not only watching and hearing, but also feeling whatever you're doing to that toy or device? http://www.fanfiction.net/~adriantullberg [Link] |
