Myself, I'm just happy that I can finally see some of these movies! After I-Candy was broken into a few years ago I never thought I'd be able to see Blonde Fire on DVD. Thank you I-Candy!

I-candy released a few Johhny Wadd titles, Blonde Fire being one of them. Being glad that someone finally released the title on dvd I bought it and popped it into my dvd player. In the first scene Wadd (Holmes) checks into a hotel and catches a hot brunette rifling through his stuff, he throws her on the bed and handcuffs her to the bed. He then tells her not to struggle because the cuffs will only hurt her more, then you see the cut and they start getting it on. In the uncut vhs version, she does struggle and he punches or slaps her and points a gun to her face warning not to do it again. This has been cut from the dvd. Does i-candy really think that LE would go after a movie that was made more than 25 years ago? Get real. When i-candy first started they never edited their movies, now they are. These are classic movies that should be preserved in their original form, these types of scenes were a big part of what the movies were about and to edit it out really bothers me. Hell, this exact scene was even portrayed in the Boogie Nights movies and i-candy chose to edit it? This really sucks. I've never been more disappointed in an edited movie than in this one. [Link] |

This kind of crap is seriously making me consider dropping a few extra hundred bucks on a dvd recorder and transfering my old classic vhs collection onto my own dvds, fuck all these companies and their edited versions, that includes VCA. Maybe when people stop buying the edited versions, then maybe companies like i-candy will get the picture. I'll think twice about buying i-candy's edited garbage again.
