If the audience doesn't know, it's one thing, but knowing a couple is have sex onscreen is just disappointing. The beauty of porn is the fantasy of thinking all girls are bisexual, love swallowing and have no hesitation about participating in group sex at the drop of a hat. Knowing that two people are having sex on screen, and then go home to make love, really doesn't do much for me. Am I the only one? Kelly Madison is hot, Holly Halston maybe even hotter. But I just can't be interested in watching them do it with their hubbies. Now when a starlet has sex with a man that isn't her husband or boyfriend- well that's pretty hot. And when someone like the aformentioned Halston not only finally fucks someone else, but also adds interracial- well, that's pretty damn good. [Link]

I think part of the appeal to studios is very low overhead cost in producing such material. Couples can send in their videos and if it is decent, they use it and pay them very little for their film. I recently viewed a couple, boyfriend/girlfriend amateurs on a title and it was decent sex. I usually avoid this stuff but this title at BushDVD I rented and enjoyed.
