Joebang: you in this to fuck girls, or make a living...?? if you said YES to either one, my advice is get a real job and spend your money on a sure thing...hookers...
the Prime of Porn, from a business prospective, 70's, 80's, early 90's, has long passed...even "new" 18-19 year old females show up, last about 12-18 months, and die off...the established producers, directors and studs are holding on to what they have and really don't need another guy looking to cut on their piece of the pie...

FYI, in youtube interview Nat Turnher says the same thing. Best way to
break into porn biz as a male performer is via a hot chick that will only
fuck you. They will give you a shot but if you can't perform game over.
Nat Turnher interview
He also mentions that Ice La Foxxx is his baby mama and of course he takes some
more shots at his favorite target -- Brian Pumper.

Consider reaching out to producers of cuckold porn and offer to play the role of the cuckold. You probably won't have a lot of competition because most guys wouldn't want to subject themselves to eating another man's jizz but, hey, it's a foot in the door, no?

If I was him, I would just stay in cleveland and shoot amateur girls pov and own the content. He will make more money over time on each scene from clip sites and licensing than the few hundred he might make as talent on a scene.

Do you really think the reason that some male porn stars stay working so long (I'm talking about guys who have been in the business for 10+ years) is because they won't be able to find any work if they leave and not because they actually enjoy fucking a different attractive woman every other day?
Also if your thesis is correct then what happens to the large majority of porn stars (male and female) that do leave the industry within 1-5 years of entering? Many of them are still in their 20s or 30s, so what are they doing the rest of their lives, all working at Burger King or homeless or on welfare?

^Let's apply your statement to the mainstream entertainment industry. What happens to all of those actors and actresses that used to be in movies and TV on a regular basis but that we don't see anymore? I don't think they choose to leave what must be a decent way of living so much as they get left behind. I don't think most male performers stay in the industry for any other reason than they are making a decent living and they probably don't choose to leave as much as they also they get left behind.
You can believe that porn performers enjoy shooting porn. There's nothing wrong with that and it's your fantasy but the reality is that it's next to impossible to really enjoy shooting porn. These people aren't being filmed having real sex but are performing the illusion that it's real sex. If they are very good then the scene is more believable and it's easier to believe the fantasy. If on the other end they are having an off day or have no talent for porn than the scene is not watchable.

^ Pat, I really don't think that performing in porn is all drudgery. And, this is not just some "fantasy" I cling to.
Yes, absolutely yes, shooting porn is work.
I'm sure the initial thrill, from the male's perspective, wears-off fairly soon.
I'm also sure that performers are often paired with other performers that they don't find at all attractive.
Oh, the humanity.
However, nothing you or anyone else can speculate about will ever convince me that the male performers don't ever get into it and love it.
Say you're lucky enough to be paid to fuck Jayden Jaymes (or another one of the handful of exquisite A-list stars).
Sure, the director will torture you and bend you into a pretzel for three to four hours.
But, when you finally get the OK to cum, and begin pounding her for real during the cumshot sequence, then get to blow your load on her face -- that face -- I seriously doubt there's a performer alive who doesn't consider this the highlight of his day.
Once a performer loses interest in working with the true A-list girls, maybe it's time to pack-it-in?

I'm not saying I know for sure that guys enjoy doing scenes but how do you know for sure that they DON'T enjoy it? Have you ever shot porn or been on an actual set? Just like I can gauge a females level of enjoyment or pleasure I can gauge a males and clearly many guys are having a fun time (just listen to mark wood or manuel ferara's constant moaning throughout a scene). I want to make it clear I don't believe "porn sex" is enjoyable as sex in real life. That said, I am baffled as to what some people are saying about how "horrible" it is for the guys. I mean seriously how bad could it actually be when your job is to fuck a hot girl BAREBACK every other day (or every day for the very active guys). I have to call BS on what some people are saying in this thread, if the job was so bad then why the fuck would these guys work so frequently and pump out scenes if they didn't enjoy it?

How bad the job is must be considered in relation to the other jobs these guys have tried, or think that they are capable of doing.
The fact that they work frequently may indicate a love of the job, or it may be that the pay per job is low, so they need to work often in order to make enough money to live on. Alternately, male performers may feel compelled to take whatever job is offered in order for the job offers to keep coming in.
At any rate, I doubt that a single reason explains why every person who works in porn does so. However, I'm sure that some continue to do it because it is better, and/or pays better, than anything else they've tried their hand at.

What you guys are failing to grasp is the subtle but important difference between "getting paid to have sex" vs "must have sex in order to get paid". Its great when its not that serious a job and you don't have to depend on that income for your survival. But the longer you stay in the biz the more it will become that to pay bills and live off.
And don't forget its not like having sex alone in your bedroom with your girl. You are working for a director. You have to stop and start, get it up, and cum on demand. If you fail to perform you don't get paid and in some cases the rest of the cast and crew might not either putting even more pressure on you. Let this happen more than a couple times and your porn career is over because directors will not hire you anymore.
There is a reason why there are only a few male performers used over and over again in porn. If you don't believe me then check out another old post I had with links to Evan Stone and Tyler Knight talking about the dark side of being a male performer ...
How do male pornstars last so long? Any tecniques?

Well, you're making the assumption that one is remotely attracted to Jayden James or any of the others just because you are. Just because a woman is attractive doesn't mean she's pleasant to be around. As the old saying goes, show me a guy married to Cindy Crawford, and I'll show you a guy tired of fucking Cindy Crawford.
Also, when if ever does the guy get pound the girl for real during a cum shot sequence? The majority of cum shots these days are the result of the guy spending 5 minutes beating off vigorously until he drops a mediocre 3 drop load (slight exaggeration I know) onto the girl's face. Yeah, there are worse ways in this world to make a few bucks, but as far as being a glamour job, not really, as it's been documented time and time again. The girl is the star, the guy a prop, nothing more, nothing less. Don't believe me, start a poll with the following questions?
Who is going to rush right out and get the latest Brian Pumper release?
Who is going to rush right out and get the latest Bonnie Rotten release?

Two questions (your above statement seems a little overstated):
Are you saying a typical porn scene requires three to four hours of actual fucking?
How exactly is the male performer being "bent into a pretzel"?

No, I'm saying that filming a porn scene (i.e. the final edited 10-30 minute scene we get) easily takes three to four hours of shooting on the set. This is not saying or suggesting "three to four hours of actual fucking" in any way whatsoever.
This is a humorous reference to all the strange positions directors subject the performers to (and thrown out as a sop to all the usual suspects equating performing porn to breaking rocks at the gulag).

Oh, yes.
Obviously , when I posted the following before the part of my post you chose to "quote," I never considered this possibility

I was just making reference to that line because the way you're making is sound is "How could anyone not be just in complete heaven because they have the chance to be in the presence of some of the A list girls?"
I'll use a non porn example so as not to offend. Angelina Jolie is an top tier babe, looks great, and has nice tits. People would kill for the chance to fuck her, but to quote Billy Bob Thorton is this: "Fucking her was like fucking a couch." Just because you might like someone doesn't mean the guys who actually work with them feel the same way. They might suffer through it and consider the $200 they made to be combat pay.

^ I suspect every non-gay male performer has a girl or two that really floats his boat -- that was my point.
That's why I phrased it as "Jayden Jaymes (or another one of the handful of exquisite A-list stars)."
And, as I wrote, "Once a performer loses interest in working with the true A-list girls, maybe it's time to pack-it-in?," perhaps I'm suggesting that if, as a performer, the job and/or the industry no longer holds or offers you any pleasure or satisfaction, you might consider doing something else.
I really think my post -- in its entirety -- coherently states my views.
No need to pick it apart line-by-line, and out-of-context from the entire post, so that you can re-interpret it for us.
