Some of the girls out there shooting scenes need to invest in some of that Proactiv shit the hollywood stars are hocking on tv. I really have to say something about this because it's gotten way out of hand. Some girls have serious, serious acne problems. They start out looking great but as soon as the scene gets messy, the make up wears off and things deteriorate in a really bad way and it makes me not want to watch their scenes anymore. I'll be at my local smut shop perusing the new release section and when I see these girls on the box I know it's gonna be a crapshoot whether she'll look like hell halfway through the scene or not. Lately it's gotten so bad that two of my absolute favourite girls are teetering on my "no rent" list if I don't see some improvement...and soon. Some of these girls are big name stars and I really do love them but they have to do something about their acne conditions. Please girls...do something, try something, anything! Thank you.

I'd ease up on these people. I'm sure they are making some effort but it isn't that easy. This problem is often passed on in the family and hard to control. Some have no acne while others have it bad and are not to blame. I saw a Dermatologist on an ongoing basis starting around age 16 until I reached about age 23 for acne problems. You have to constantly change the medications to control it. You can't simply take the same medication over time if you have it bad. It got to the point my Dermatologist offered me to take ACUTANE with a grocery list of potential serious medical problems which were in the warnings. I refused and glad I did, there are now major lawsuits going on for those who took this drug as they developed serious complications and permanently damaged their bodies. Proactive may work for some but for others it may not do anything. The alternative is to keep seeing a Dermatologist which becomes expensive and the medications can run you into the thousands of dollars over time. The good news for those who have it bad is it usually becomes a minor problem by the time they reach their mid 20s.
I think part of the problem is the increase in HD content. The reality is that most of us don't have beautiful skin. HD amplifies our imperfections and we are left thinking that the girls skin is different when in fact it may not be. Of course another problem is the less than stellar use of makeup on performers. With studios cutting cost then makeup artist are probably not being hired and that can add to the problem. A bad skin condition may be an issue for some but mine is more in the use of body makeup. I'm really tired of looking at a beautiful backside full of zits and blemishes or razor burns around the womens vaginas. Those are very distracting.
i agree HD only makes it look worse lower quality video you might not even notice it the so called make up caked on their face probably isnt helping one bit only making it worse i cant say i have see the problem myself but i steer clear from teen porn in general i prefer women in late 20s to mid 40s the only acne i ever see is a lot of women have some pimples on their ass i dont want perfection so i dont care at all do a close up with a HD camera of yours ass, im sure its not a pretty sight
I kind of disagree about HD. What it really does is makes it obvious that it's acne (or if it isn't acne, makes that obvious as well). To me, it's more distracting when I can't tell what it is. SD video usually is just good enough to let you know there's something there. I find that very annoying because then I can't get past the "WTF is that?" and am constantly wondering in the back of my mind. If I can clearly see that it's just acne, I can move on and even sort of ignore it. Of course this may not work for you if you find acne that unbearable but I've had it to some degree most of my adult life so I don't really mind as long as it isn't really out of control. I know how hard it is to do anything with a tough case of acne. It's very embarrassing and it sucks.

I've been viewing adult content continually since 1981 and can't ever say I have been put off by bad acne on a girl. I just can't ever recall seeing it. What I have seen repeatedly is razor stubble with rashes in a girl's pubic area from shaving. This is a scene killer for me. Today, it seems the majority of the girls are shaved bald and not all know how to shave in the proper direction and to prevent the rash from the hairs being cut in the wrong angle. I wish they would just trim hair and never shave themselves bald. The hair grows there for a reason, to absorb perspiration and keep the skin dry and healthy. Acne is a normal thing which when controlled or covered up is not so bad, it doesn't really do any harm. But, when I see a rash on a girl's private area from shaving it kills it for me.
Acne's been a thorn in my side for most of my life (and I'm turning 30 next week), so I'm sympathetic. As Peoples Temple said, Proactiv doesn't work for everyone - it certainly didn't work for me. I have to use a combination of prescription and over-the-counter medications to control my breakouts and even that isn't a perfect remedy, but it's the best I've found after years of trial and error. The thing about acne is, M.B. - for some, it's persistent. But we all gotta live our lives. Whether it's in front of a camera or behind it.
like ive said, ive never seen it in any dvd as yet and ive watched a LOT but maybe thats cause i dont watch younger stars but for me i wouldnt care as i like stars who seem normal everyday girl next door types. someone who could be someone you say hi to everyday but behind closed doors sucks cock like a champ
I've heard the biggest part of preventing acne is washing with clean water, which can be hard to find. Water quality control costs money that California may not have. Even clean public water may still get loaded with metallic impurities when it goes through old home pipes.

This is a stretch for me to even bring up but if you want clean water get a Berkley light filter system,it costs about $400.00. Worth every penny. I think they have shower units. Put the water in a bowl and wash your face with it. I have the filter, i love it. Regarding acne a got some two months ago. I asked myself i thought i was pass those years but i guess this old guy got it, from stress maybe. Empathy to those w/ acne. Take care.

The body is still built the same as it was when we were chasing our dinners on a daily basis. Very little has changed so remember that as I tell you this. Our bodies were not meant to be bathed on a daily basis. There is a protecting film that builds up on our skin, especially on our face that actually protects the skin, mostly the pours, from bad things like dirt from getting in. When we bath, we clear away that film and expose our pours to dirt which has a perfectly open door into the pours. When we are conditioned by the media, to view women as air-brushed, flawless creatures, then it is a shock to discover that women have acne and warts and fart just like us guys do. lol
I noticed this when I saw the gorgeous Asa Akira in HD. Her ass, torso, arms, legs - all flawless. Her face, though, showed blemishes. It never occurred to me to suggest that she take better care of her face. What did ocurr to me was that sometimes HD is not the best choice. Is it possible to change cameras or lenses depending on the shot, or to adjust in the editing process? Years ago my wife pointed out to me that the focus on Cybill Shepard was much softer in order to not show sighs of age. Similar technique here? By the way: Asa, keep up the good work. You guys are reading waaaayyyyy to deep into the situation. It's very simple. Look at a picture of the stars without makeup on and then with makeup on. Two completely different pictures. Now take into consideration the ages of some of the girls and its very simple; young women caking on the makeup that clogs pores = Zits.

Rosco, Sorry to shoot your theory down but that is not the case that makeup causes acne. The girls do load on way too much makeup but that is NOT what causes the acne. When I had bad acne I tried everything, over the counter stuff, cleansing with Isopropyl alcohol to deep clean my skin as thoroughly as possible, and even strong medications lasted only a short time before I had to have them changed by my doctor. I can say that one of the best things about getting older is not having to deal with acne problems. At a young age, it was pretty annoying waking up in the morning to find ugly red blemishes/bumps on your skin that is of no fault of your own. The acne for many is just a passage of life. People deal with it the best they can.

the following may be contributing factors: cosmetics: Some cosmetics and skin-care products are pore clogging ("comedogenic"). Of the many available brands of skin-care products, it is important to read the list of ingredients and choose those which have water listed first or second if you are concerned about acne. These "water-based" products are usually safe.
I don't suffer from acne, however, I find the brand Cetaphil to be very good. They make low irritant soap products. One cake of Soap is up to $10 Australian though. A lot of people with skin trouble also swear by Goat's Milk soap as well. I have never used that however.
I recall reading on twitter where two or three make-up artists were complaining and debating about why pornstars in general suffer with such bad skin and how difficult their job was getting these girls ready to shoot scenes. I guess that caking on makeup regularly must have quite a detrimental effect in the longer term.
Fact one: Washing once a day is normal and does not do the affect that u propose. #2: The filter system i refer to is extremely good for drinking as well as cleaning as all the heavy metals are taken out. If u think iam wrong, prove it!
There are so many factors that cause acne, it's unfair! Stress, hormones, makeup, sweat, genes, diet and more. It's one of those things that are REALLY hard to control. It's not a one size fits all thing where one person uses a miracle cream for there face and then expect it to work for everyone else. One thing I've noticed since I got into porn was how bad saliva is for your skin, especially if you have acne prone skin. I usually go without any pimples for a long time and as soon as I do any scenes that have spit that gets on my face, I get acne from it. If I'm able to wash my face immediately after the scene I don't have much of an issue but that's not easy to do if you have still pictures after and what not. From my understanding, your mouth is one of the dirtiest places on/in your body, It even has a variety of more bacteria than your asshole. Makes you think the next time you're deciding to either eat a butt hole out or make out with someone... lol! but yes, I think saliva is a big contributor for acne on a porn performers face... I think saying the mouth is dirty is probably using the wrong term. It is the primary orifice in the body so it has to have the best line of defense against diseases since it's likely to encounter a wide variety of viruses and bacterias on a regular basis. I think you could say that the mouth has the highest amount of protective bacteria in the body. That's great news for us because it keeps us alive but it's bad news for anyone else because they treat everybody else as an enemy regardless of our feelings toward the person.
Ok apparently there is very mixed feelings about this acne control issue... Here is what any logical mind would agree with. 1. Acne is not attractive. 2. Porn girls/guys get paid to do sex acts on camera. 3. Most people want to see attractive porn girls/guys do these sex acts. 4. Acne is not the easiest to control and for some it is impossible. 5. However if your job is to look attractive while performing, you should make your best effort to control acne. 6. HD makes small bumps and skin imperfections much more visible. P.M. to all that said sweat, spit, makeup, and hormones released by sex can cause acne flare ups you are absolutely correct, which is why it is difficult for pornstars to manage.
