So I picked up a copy of Slap Happy at a buy one get one free offer a local porn shop had. I heard it was controversial and wanted to know what the fuss was about. I thought maybe it would be playful slapping. I was wrong it was unbelieveably violent and sick. Girls puking and being hit hard. I cannot imagine anyone could masturbate to this with a clean conscience. I like porn but this is way to hard. At at the time the girl started tearing up I had to take out the DVD. I'm going to have to destroy this disc. I do not recommend it for anyone to view.

The boxcover didn't give any clue as to the content?

But Brandon Iron directed that, and you probably know, or maybe don't, that he can be rough. Sometimes it's good, most times, not.

At least it was free, right? If you bought it, I'd sell it to some schmuck who gets off on this.

Porn has many levels and extreme BJ fetishism is just one part (but not to everyone's taste).

Brandon has explained the nature of this series in the past and you can rest assured that the girls were friends of his and fully aware of the 'nature' of the production.

As for the puke scenes, again it's a fetish and stars of today, like Catalina, specialise in it.

The Slap Happy series is indeed strong so 'be warned'.

No judgements, just a related comment.

I felt similarly about Rough Sex #2 from Anabolic when I bought it several years ago before both Rough Sex tapes were taken off the shelves for good. I watched it, and after some deliberation felt compelled to destroy it--which I did.

As Hardz says everyone has their kink... I guess this particular movie for me was just so mean spirited... so... one sided, so outwardly unforgiving that I felt to clear my concsience I would feel better if the tape was destroyed. I broke and ripped it open, made sure it was unsalvagable and threw it in the dumpster out back. $30+ down the tubes perhaps (at the time I could only order it directly from Anabolic), but at the time, I didn't care.

I don't know. I may have made a different decision today, but I would still not have it in my possession--and because of this experience, and shared experiences of others, I've never had any intention of looking at the Slap Happy series.

Everyone likes what they like, and that's ok with me. I certainly like the more dominant side of sex, but the .... attitude that movies like these bring are just way too much for me. In short, I understand how you feel PornBoy.

There's a lot to be said for chemistry and energy between performers. If it's right, I think rougher stuff can happen and somehow work for a viewer without tripping the disgusto-meter. I watched both "Rough Sex" volumes, and there's only one scene -- with the then-Jewel Valmont -- that transcends. I think the only thing Slap Happy had going for it was the "taboo." The scenes I watched, the girls were mostly a far, far cry from even "B"-list, and the choking-drooling-slapping-puking just took me back to high school memories --- of working around a hospital emergency room!

I think Brandon's come a long way from those days, as some of his recent work demonstrates. And you only need watch one of Joey Silvera's recent titles to see how strong, dominant sex with BDSM vibes can be done with class, and pizazz.

Totally agreed. I wonder how one can be so naive and buy a cassette called "Rough Sex" and expect to find don't know what else. I was given by mistake a Slap Happy video and found it boring in the slap part and really intolerable when the girls had "cunt" played on their face: whatI couldn't stand was that their face, which is the most important element of a porn video and of cinema in general, was covered with paint: just like watching a private video with women wearing masks. It makes no sense.
I also wonder if one feels the same guilty feeling when parts are reversed. A recent italian video has a girl taking a revenge against a would-be rapist by inserting hand and foot (true, not at the same time) in his asshole and pissing in his mouth. No destroyed cassettes were reported.

Destroying a tape (or a magazine, or whatever...) is as valid a way of "getting clean" as any other. On a symbolic level, it works, though I guess the images stay. I'm not familiar with the boxcovers of these tapes, so I can't say if Pornboy or MLyons were naive or just fooled by a downplaying plug. I think they sure knew what they were getting into in terms of domination game, but maybe were not aware of the extremes the directors had decided to explore. Or maybe they thought it would be filmed in a tongue in cheek way. Or maybe they consciously knew all along, gave it a try to push their limits, realized they couldn't take it & then absolved their conscience. I did it once with a comic-book. I knew excatly what I was getting into, blanked my reason, bought it, opened it & felt so horrified (and sickly fascinated) that I threw it away immediately. It's like watching an crime scene. Of course you watch! But I think it's pretty sane to feel guilty afterwards. At least you won't do it twice. I think it's cool that there are still porn lovers around who are not jaded enough that they don't give a fuck about girls puking or getting black eyes on tape. Respect to that. What would be cooler still is for them to question their motives behind their purchase in the first place. What I mean is, were you really NOT AWARE of the shenanigans in these videos, or did you subconsciously, just maybe , want to push your limits and felt pissed, in your male pride, that you couldn't push them that far ? (I'm not saying this aggressively, I'm all for knowing your limits)

I always want to check out weird shit, but that doesn't mean that when I finally watch it that I find it sexual -- or a turn-on. Sometimes, it's just the opposite. I mean, Max Hardcore does have his moments -- I just haven't seen enough over the long haul to keep me interested in his movies. And I find that directors like Joey Silvera and Brandon Iron have found a route to doing kinkier, rougher scenes that actually do work in a non-skeezey way (and Mason, too).

I don't think you guys know what you want. Buying tapes that clearly depict Rough Sex and slapping and then are disappointed when they actually deliver the goods.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, destroying movies, that's some cummunist shit right there.
I'm sick of people saying they want rougher sex available to view and then complain it's too rough.
What did you think you were going to get when you buy Rough Sex and Slap Happy? Didn't the pictures on the boxes give you an idea of what it contained?
Why aren't any of you complaining about all the other bondage tapes out there? There is far worse available with girls being tied up and tortured, and I never hear anyone complain about that stuff. Is it because the two movies discussed have intercourse? and if so, why does it matter so much more than the non-intercourse movies, they are much worse as far as the physical and mental abuse depicted.
Long live Mason and Brandon Iron.
Anabolic can rot for all I care, they didn't have the balls to stand behind the movies they made.

Rather than destroy it, can you just send it to me? ;)

I don't mind Slap Happy. I saw one of the scenes with Felony and she was even briefly interviewed and said she loved it, and would not do it if it was real. She also had the option to let Brandon know anytime she was feeling discomfort so he could stop.

Geez guys.

Why the hostility? I for one knew what I was getting into when I bought Rough Sex #2, at least on the surface level. I'd even seen Rough Sex #1 and already had some mixed love/hate feelings about the the "series". Most of us should be well aware by now that the boxcover and the tag lines simply don't tell the whole story of a porn movie. And for most of us, it's an extremely fine line between what turns us on and what leaves us limp or in this case, what completely upsets us. We simply can't all be expected to know simply by the perported genre of a movie whether it will work for us, especially when it comes to pushing limits or breaking barriers.

I simply don't understand why my destruction of a tape I paid for translates into my belief in censorship for the good of all. That is simply not the case, and I think I made that pretty darn clear in my last post. I'll say it again: to each their own. But to berate people like me and PornBoy for "not knowning better" or to say shame on us for going through some completely natural and human id vs. ego conflicts is just pointless and overly defensive in my opinion. The fact is, the last thing I am is ashamed of myself. That's just silly talk. :)

I'm with Skronker and vodka tonic. Of course I don't mean to speak for PornBoy, but one more time, I'll say: to each his own. Espeically in regards to porn consumption, sometimes when in search of what we want we find something that we don't. What's wrong with that? In this case my strong emotions about it prompted me to take some action. I don't see anything wrong with that either.

My personal feelings about the tape is like this. When I was three my father was killed in an auto accident so I was pretty much raised by my mother with my three sisters my entire life. How can I look at them in the eyes after watching a porn flick in which a woman is violently slapped and choked until the point she vomits and begins tearing up. I have no problems with regular hardcore porn. But once someone feels the need to start hitting a woman in order to get off there is just something really not right about it and I think it crosses the line. If I were to get off to this kind of porn I'd seriously need to examine my psyche. I mean what next would I get off on, rape? I am not trying to advocate censorship at all. I love porn if I didn't I wouldn't be here. I just think the movie crosses the line of decency.

Yeah, for real, I used to check out some of Rob Black's crazy stuff on Extreme -- and really nasty movies like "Cocktails," because there's a part of me that wanted to know what it was like to watch a really fine adult actress, llike Taylor St. Claire, take some wild abuse -- not knowing, despite the boxcover, just what was in store. And it really made my dick shrivel, because there was nothing sexual about it. It was X-rated "Fear Factor," with Mickey G's urine to sop up instead of some horse anus to chew -- though, in the final analysis, maybe they are close to the same thing,

[Alicia Rhodes' urine, however, I would happily mop up! ]

Same with the whole Bi-Britni element and probably a lot of Jeff Steward's stuff over at JM (though, part of me kinda likes their twisted frat-boy spirit -- I don't know why). All I know is, I want to feel like everyone is having a good time -- or at least not suffering for the short green. I certainly don't want anyone vomiting on my cock, and it's not somehting I want to pay money to watch. But it's a big world out there, so I am not one to legislate what any individual finds proper stroke material. On the other hand, I'm not gonna support it with my cash, either.

Burning or destroying of books & culture material in communist and/or nazi governments were mass ceremonial stuff that expressed a brainwashed denial of anything anti-dictatorship (my God, it's morning & I have a jolly hard time expressing myself !). In this occurrence, it's a personal decision that involves the individual on what he is or is not able to accept. There's no censorship issue there, just personal issue that I think they're totally free to express on an opinion forum. Nobody advocated a mass bonfire of Extreme or Max Hardcore material.
BUT if you want to slide into communist/capitalist imagery, I sort of wonder if the capitalist credo of offer / demand doesn't have its own discrepancies. I mean, if there's a market for gouging people's eyes out of their sockets, do we have to cater for it ? Do we all have to adopt a jaded attitude in front of violence or, say, Jackass dumbness ? As long as there's a contract, and both parties signed, then who gives a shit, right ? Yes, we live in a capitalist structure with its advantages and its downfalls, and I wouldn't have it any other way, but I find it pretty reassuring on a human level that the human being still has this ability to be shocked. Don't be so fucking jaded.

i should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky

All kidding aside, I only saw one volume of SH because I hate oral-only movies but I didn't find it too shocking but maybe that's because I'm numb for these kind of things, I've seen too much already.

You guys are assuming that the only people that get off on this "abusive sex" is the guy doing the abusing. Believe it or not, there are women out there that like to be treated rough during sex, they like to be choked, slapped, and verbally abused.
Stop treating these women that do porn like they have no choice and can't make thier own decisions. Some women like this type of sex. Is it that hard to understand?
It's a fetish just like any other. There are all kinds of fetishes that people are into, feet , obesity, bondage, midgets, amputees, rubber, latex, vomiting, some people get off on seeing people in bandages like they have been injured, all kinds of shit is out there and not everybody is into the same thing. People are different and are into different things. Some women like really rough sex.

The only women that like to be treated like shit are women that were sexually abused at some point in their life. I took Human Behavior in college and wrote a paper about how mental, sexual, and physical abuse affects people's behavior throughout life. I'd say 90% of the case studies I read dealt with women that were abused as children that allowed their partners to abuse them as adults and stayed with that person because they felt the abuse was normal. Abusing a woman is no small sexual kink like a foot fetish. Its about complete domination and power. Which is a very dangerous mindset. If it wasn't would it be necessary to have the word CUNT or WHORE written across the woman's forehead? In the one part I saw the girl is told to look at the camera and say, "I have low self esteem". This is very depressing to watch. The only men who could enjoy this porn have serious machismo issues.

I think you hit the nail on the head when started to wax on the capitalist credo of offer / demand. That's the best advice anyone can give the guy. Instead of destroying his copy of Slap Happy, why doesn't he just offer up his copy of the film on ebay or some other auction site. He is sure to get his money back, if not more, which would in turn allow him to purchase something that he really wants. Hopefully the guy who buys it will know what he's getting into, and our guy will be able to capitalize on his own misfortune.

PS
I know it isn't the prevailing vibe here on this thread, but I personally think Slap Happy 1-3 are hands down the best aggressive BJ series on the market. Up to that point I had never witnessed anything so intense... so real. The concept behind Slap Happy of seeing just how far these you women were willing take a scene, engaging the element of trust and submission, I found it very appealing.

PornBoy, by using the phrase "the only women/men that...", you are trying to introduce an axiom - a piece of undisputed fact.
As soon as a woman says that she likes rough sex, you will say that her opinion does not count, and should not be considered, because she developed this mindset as a consequence of sexual abuse. Just because she was abused, she is not allowed to like rough sex?
As soon as a man says that he likes consensual rough sex, you will say that this is because he has serious issues with his machismo, and that because of these issues, his opinion is wrong.

As a result, women who have been sexually abused and men who have issues with their machismo are placed in a position where others can make decisions FOR them about what is good/bad for them. Those who are without sin, those whose morals are better, those who have no issues with their machismo, those who have not been abused, THEY can make decisions about how ALL people can have sex.

PornBoy, please do not try to establish norms of behavior for facets of sexuality that you do not fully understand. Such norms can be just as harmful as that aspect of sexuality you are trying to suppress.

The starting point of the whole question, I think, is that most of the anti-rough sex posters can't realize the element of fakery in the whole matter: porn is basically about fantasies, there's little truth in it. Do you people here really believe that the girls being abused, (softly) beaten and painted over, feel the way you imagine they feel? They probably take the whole thing as a joke (a joke for which they're being payed) and I have the constant impression that some of them are doing their best not to start laughing at the whole shenanigan.
And this not taking into taking into account, as one of the poster in this thread pointed out, that many women actually like that kind of rough treatment: just as many like to be fucked in the ass (ask Peter North), eat cum and being facialed. The fact that many men, even among porn watchers, firmly believe the contrary, is one of the pornographers most solid assets.

Pornboy has now not made sense twice in this thread.
You are comparing abusive relationships with consentual rough sex, two totally different things. There are lots of women that like to be submissive and have thier partners treat them rough during sex, and have healthy happy relationships with their partners. They are not in an abusive relationship. It just means that they like rough sex. You are comparing apples and oranges. These are not battered wives were are talking about here.

Well I'm not abused in fact I like to abuse or dominate and sometimes even be dominated it's like role playing it's a fetish for us freaks who get jaded by missionary sex we need the thrill and excitement of something new. This is why rough appeals to girls like me we've usually done it all and are bored and use role playing wether dominate or being dominated as a source to get off.

Yes! And: or they just do it for the money they get playing what asked for.
I dont know that movie in question. If we had good rental places here in Moscow I would get out and rent it, to check it out. But I doubt it appeals to me.

To PornoBoy, I just can say: Destroy it, if that helps you. It will symbolically purify your mind. Me, I know Dotzens of girls here, that would do about everything just to earn some $$$ in any film. Those girls living conditions you will not purify by destroying your dvd, however. But buying more porn, you can help them.

Hi,

This is a good thread. I can understand why he destroyed his copies. It has been a personal choice that (correct me when i´m wrong) does not have to do anything with "censorship" or political correctness. He just didn´t want to have this {enter you prefered word here} anymore. Simple as that.

When i first saw it i was kind of I didn´t get off on it then and i don´t get off on it now.(haven´t seen them in months anyway)

Would be nice to hear "Mr. Hidells" voice on this though. Was he simply "pushing the envelope" or was it more like a "role play/fetish" of his made into "money" ? or something other

I haven´t experienced role play and/or hard fetish stuff so for me "rough sex" was indeed more extreme to watch than SH. Even though it´s hard for me to understand why there are people who like this kind of stuff i do not judge others for it as i do not like to be judged about things i like. And i can understand Jewels point about Sex that get boring after a while. Like i said before it sometimes makes me wonder that the males even get a hard on if you do this kind of work daily(?)

I just wonder why he stopped making thew series. Did someone pull the plug ? Maybe he was making more money than ROB ? :)

speaking of him ... may it be as bad as most of the people think i have seen worse stuff of extreme Ass. !

I think I read him say somewhere that he wasn't making too much on them due to lack of distributors/vendors willing to stock it!

I'll hold my hand up and say I've seen a couple of these and found the rough/forced oral a turn on (would have preferred the films without the slapping though, I didn't really see the point of it). I suppose I got a kick out of watching him dominate the women and just the overall rawness and nastiness of it all: I know in polite society I'm not supposed to like anything like this, but there's hardly much point turning off the tape and feigning revulsion is there?

I will point out that in many of the scenes you see Brandon/Alex talking to the girl beforehand checking she is aware what they are going to do and often reminding her how to signal to him if it gets a bit too much.

A standup comedian told this joke. It's funny, until you realize it's true:

"There is a bedroom scene in a movie with a man and a woman on a bed. The woman is topless and the man reaches for her neck and pulls her towards him for a passionate kiss on the mouth and works his way down her neck. If he kisses her bare breasts, the movie gets an automatic hard-R, perhaps X rating .

Same scene, except the man now chokes and strangles the woman, leaving her 'dead' body on the bed. The movie gets a PG13 rating ."

In mainstream films, violence is considered much more acceptiable than expressions of sexuality.

I dont agree with it, but thats the way it is.

I also enjoy rough sex, but I will never, ever be able to be a submissive. I would never be able to just sit there and take whatever someone felt like dishing out to me.

I do realize that there are some very mentally healthy women out there who do like being true submissives.

I just personally don't get off on seeing scenes that treat the woman/girl as if she is less important than the person who is dominating her. If I don't know the person well enough, I am not able to separate the scene enough from reality to enjoy seeing something that was possibly less than enjoyable for one of the people active.
On the other hand, there are a few girls that I know really do enjoy these things and weren't abused in their past, and I am able to, with a free conscience, enjoy seeing them in a submissive sexual situation.
I also am friends with Brandon, and I cannot believe that he would try to put anyone at all in a situation where they were not comfortable, so although I did not find the Slap Happy movies to be a personal turn-on, I was not emotionally disturbed by them. (And I saw all 3.)

I think PornoBoy and MLyons made very valid choices. They were at least willing to give the movies a chance, which I think is a lot better than someone who would summarily dismiss them without seeing them first.
And their decisions to destroy them? Personal choices that they did not try to invoke upon anyone but themselves. They each decided that they would feel better if they were not part of the process of distributing those images to more people.

Ok, reading this thread made the wife and I order this title to see what all of the controversy was about. Now we have watched it all of the way through and we have to say that we can see how people who like the "softer" porn would be turned off/offended but it was no big deal to us and some of it was rather a bit of a turn on for both. But that's us. In a cotton candy world we're always looking for a jagged edge.

I think part of the 'jagged edge' you talk about is just the simple fact that anything is 100% more interesting when you don't know how it will pan out. Part of the problem with most porn is that, however good the sex is and however well shot the scenes, you've pretty much seen the film before you watch it; it is like the difference between watching live sport or a recording where you already know the result. I have to say when I watched a 'Slap Happy' title I felt I was watching something different; something where I didn't know quite how things would work out; something that i hadn't seen a thousand times before.

I don't mean to decry other porn with these remarks, after all there is an inevitability that things will become familiar and this is not necessarily a bad thing: sex with my girlfriend is familiar but that does not preclude it being enjoyable. My point is that there is always an unmatchable attraction to something new, a novelty value and the excitement of the unfamiliar.

I agree with this, but, the breaking down of the familiar and the attraction of something new doesn't have to go hand in hand with novelty value and drastically different approaches or thematic qualities. It can be found in seemingly very traditional, formulaic porn as well, in many telling details of performance and presentation thereof. I once described this as the attraction of moments of "rupture" (rUpture, not rApture), moments when the formulaic structure gets broken down and glimpses of the 'real' break through the traditional surface.

(A great deal of my academic work within film history and film theory is centered on the importance of the interdependent relationship between "familiarity" and "novelty" (terms used by cultural theorists Jowett & Linton) for explaning the history of popular/narrative film. On a poetical level, this can be understood as a very delicate balance between the need for standardization and the need for differentiation, as used by Bordwell and ...
Whow Walter, easy boy. Don't you know nobody is reading this anymore. Get back to business.)

Of course, for those among you that remember this kind of pseudo intellectual ramblings, I preferred "blissful rupture".

On another note, how can the destruction of private property by the owner of said property be considered censorship? Isn't this just a part of right of ownership, a key value in a capitalistic society?

>I also enjoy rough sex, but I will never, ever be able to be a submissive. I would never be able to just sit there and take whatever someone felt like dishing out to me.

You mean in real life or on the set?
And, in the second case, have you ever been approached to play a submissive role? And would a large sum make change your mind?

I was talking about both.
I did a couple of bondage movies after I stopped doing hardcore, and although one scene originally called for me to be a submissive to Sharon Kane, I told them that I could be a great bottom (meaning the one receiving the whipping, spanking, etc.), but that I couldn't just be a straight submissive.
So they let me fight back a little and be agressive and have attitude, telling Sharon that I knew she could dish out more, things that felt natural to me. And I think the scene turned out pretty good.

And no, the amount of money per scene in porn was never the most important thing to me.
For creative fun, I was mostly submissive to Jeanna Fine and PJ Sparxx in Cellar Dwellar 2, but Rob let me have control over what was happening overall, and let me have an actual personality in the scene.

Walter,

I'm reading this anymore.

I come to this message board, in part, to better understand porn, to better understand my love of and relation to porn, and to better understand where my reactions to and evaluations of various kinds of porn, directors, performers, and performances come from. These are the kinds of issues that you have the unique ability to address by dint of your intellectual bent and academic training.

So please DO "get back to business" . . . by rUpturing the traditional surface of this message board with glimpses of the deeper workings of your acute, subtle, and original mind. The fun and games are great, but I would welcome your profounder insights even more. Those who don't welcome them don't need to read them, and should refrain from attacking them (inasmuch as their professed lack of interest should disqualify them from judging).

pornboy,

i don't understand the discussion at this point, if you don't like to see extreme bjs you should not rent or buy it.

slap happy has explicit covers, maybe you where a little bit curious about it but destroying the movie is really crazy.

i know a few women by myself that like hard stuff as shown in slap happy and trust in me, they like what they do. as long as it runs consensual there is no real "degrading" of
women at this point, it's nothing more then a kick to do nasty things - jewell mentioned a few posts before.

anyway, if you can't resist to destroy it, send it to me :)

cheers, waterproof

I watched SLAP HAPPY (2) for the first time and wasn't too fazed by it. It's rough, but I think I prefer Rocco better..
