Has your friend heard of Google? Here's the first result for the search terms "Mac Torrent Client".
But why not just host it on some filesharing site like sendshare, and send a download link to her since you aren't planning on sharing it with the world.

Does she have iChat? You can just drag and drop the file into the chat window, she accepts it and it's done. Easy peasy.
Edited because I too spell like a palsied child. Poor thing.

While not as fast as downloading it, how about burning it to CD and snail-mailing it to her?
Figure the time and headache involved in trying to set up to transfer it, and snail-mailing it just might be faster after all. :)

I don't like mailing media to the United States of Fuckassery.
I would rather do it online. I have dual citizenship and I don't feel like getting extradited.

You got the best answer and you dismiss it with nonsense.
Confess, what you really want the torrent client for is to steal copyrighted material.

Go grab Limewire for Mac, both of you. She can point her Limewire client directly to your IP address and can grab it that way.
Just ignore all the copyrighted files you'll encounter along the way.

That was my first thought when I read this thread.
From what little I know about torrent sites they aren't designed for one-to-one file sharing. They are for the one-to-many-thousands-of-thieves type of file sharing. There's got to be many dozens of better ways to handle this type of transfer.
Sorry, get educated about torrent sites somewhere else.
