Currently I am not using a landline so almost all my web usage is with my mobile. I pay approximately $ 45 a month just for that service alone , but with my routine its the best for me. I most likely will want to remain 100 % exclusive , wireless internet, but a few twist are involved . My girl friend will be relocating to this area to live me. If I follow the same program , I will need to equip her with a smartphone as well , that will allow us both usage so that she will not be deprived of the net either. But I don't want double the cost , any suggestions. Also I am fairly ignorant if computers in general. Can anyway advise on wireless internet services ( modem type etc ) that would allow me to use the net on a traditional PC without having to go back to a reg. phone line. I am just hoping to avoid any duplicate service or cost.  [Link] |

If yes, cable is probably the best way to go. Here in th Jersey, the cost is about $50.00 per month. I am not sure why you have a preference to wireless Internet access. If you get cable service in your area you can get high speed internet through who ever the provider is. I have used both DSL (phone line based) and cable internet and had no problems with either. Though if you go with DSL you may have more speed options at different prices. I get net access through bell canada and they have a few tiers of speed from "essential" being the slowest to "high performance" being the fastest and they each cost different amounts. Don't take my remarks about cell phones too seriously. It's just that 90% of the conversations I overhear are totally pointless and fill the air with useless noise. To be more blunt if I go with the net at home on the pc , my ADT days will be almost history. With the girl friend I am not expecting much sympathy or time to post on ADT. I have been a bachelor for about 10 years now , and I am sure I will be busting my ass fixing things up at the house, like redoing the hardware floors , and other things to the house that a woman will not allow me to ignore. Also I work the every other weekend and the mobile helps me follow the scores as well, and stay in touch. Not trying to dismiss the advice , I just am trying to state the factors.
